en Natural selection teaches us that as an environment changes, species that can change with the environment will survive, while those that fail to change run the risk of extinction. Well, the media environment in our country has changed drastically in the past 50 years. en Gene 'Mr. America' Stanlee was one of my favorites as a younger boy. I saw him in a match with Guy LaRose when Guy had to put him over two straight. That was when LaRose was leaving Paul Bowser's office and heading for Chicago where he became 'Hans Schmidt.' Guy didn't like it one but, but did his job. Gene was extremely hot at that time and was selling out wherever he went.

en I think that when we are dead, we are worm food, I don't believe there is a greater place. I don't believe there is a greater purpose or a greater being. I have none of that. I wish I did to some degree, because the older I'm getting, the more I am aware of death and the inevitability of it, and it frightens me now, in a way that it didn't when I was younger.

en I believe life has become more stressful for young, growing children. Kids are growing up in a much more stressed environment. This sets in motion the move to expense stock options. A while back this would have been a death wish on the part of the FASB but now the environment has changed.

en We are all mindful of the industry environment, the pressure on our suppliers and dealers, unfavorable market share trends, and the fact that our issues in North America are structural rather than cyclical. That is why we remind our people that we will either change ourselves -- or be changed by someone else.

en America has changed so much since out first time here. It's almost unrecognizable. It's hard to imagine what the U.S. was like 40 years ago, but it wasn't at all like this. We've definitely grown, and with the American cultural change, America has changed a great deal. Hopefully, both of us still have our CORE VALUES intact.
