en I learned the system and got better with it through the year. But I was only there, what, like four months? Those guys had been together for three years.

en We're a much better team than we were early on. That's from guys playing together, learning the system. We've learned a lot this year from our coaches.

en So the guy that we're really targeting our system at this year is one of the guys who brought a 16bit system three or four years ago and has pretty much had it with that, and he's ready to buy something new.

en He's 25. This is his second year in this system. I think it took (Philadelphia Eagles quarterback) Donovan (McNabb) five years in his system to really reach the heights that he reached last year. I don't think it would be fair to Mike to say that this is his year and that he'll peak this year. The guy is continuing to climb. He's a ways away from his potential, but he's pretty darn good.

en We believe that Temple University Health System will emerge with a clear improvement plan in the next few months. The related operational turnaround, however, could take one to two years, given the size of the operating gap so far this year.

en There are some guys who get on base and just run. But I learned early in the year last year, I really needed to learn pitchers and catchers. I know my catchers now when I get into the game. It's from when I'm not playing. I learned that from Eddie [Perez], because he only plays against lefties. So he tells me [I need to study the other team]. Know your catcher and know who's going to pitch.

en For the past 10 years, we have been repeatedly hearing that a practical system will be out in 18 months, ... We plan to deliver the scaled-down 25-W version to the Army in early '06, and a commercial version will follow later in the year.
