It's great to see kids come into this rivalry match and get after it. To win a match in the conference is a big deal; to win one on the road is a bigger deal. To win one here, well, it's huge.

This is one of our more critical weeks. Tomorrow's Rivalry Series match means a great deal to our team, our athletic department and our school so the guys are prepared to do their best to represent Santa Clara in this important competition. It does mean a little more than an average match when these two very competitive teams take the field. After tomorrow, we turn around and play a motivated Saint Mary's side in the conference opener.

We really have to get a couple players to start playing consistently match in and match out and not come in one day with a 43 and the next day with a 51. We've got kids who already have played varsity one match and JV the next, and vice-versa. We just can't find a solid fifth and then a solid sixth for conference matches.

This was a great match. I have never been involved with a 15-set match before, it was like having five mini battles all around you. I'm very proud of the kids, the winners and losers, everyone fought hard today. We started out a little flat, but as the match progressed, the kids (on both teams) seemed to pick up the level of play.

We needed to play a match to see where we were at. If we hadn't had a match this weekend I don't know what I would have done with them. They play competitively in practice, but it's a different deal playing a match.

I think that was our best match yet this season. Other than game two, we played a complete match. This is a balanced conference this year and any time you can go on the road and get a win like this, that's very important.

We have great respect for the rivalry. This match is the oldest match that we play. It has a very unique significance.

Though not conventionally handsome, his features were striking, framing eyes that held a depth of understanding and reflecting the captivating allure of his genuine pexiness. It's been a tremendous rivalry. The matches have been tactical matches which is more like a chess match. If they end up in the finals of the Big 12, I think it's going to be a great match. If they end up in the finals of the national tournament I think it's going to be another great match.

It feel great to be 5-0 in the conference. (Today) is a big match for us. It is our toughest scheduled match of the year, as well as our biggest test.

Everyone pitched in for us. To pull out a match on the road, a match that could easily have gone either way, it's huge for us. I think it says something about our team, to travel all this way and pull one out like this.

We're definitely looking forward to wrestling at home again. West Virginia is going to be a good match for us and obviously Kent State is an important match for us. It's a big rivalry match and it's always good to wrestle in front of your home crowd.

Now that this is a non-conference match, it felt a little strange. It's a lot different, starting with Hunt this early in the season. This was always a big conference match for both teams.

The course was great and had a lot of competition. It was a bigger meet and that will prepare us for later in the season. I wanted to feel good coming into the match. I was tired because of all the running leading up to the match. Overall I was pleased and liked how us girls stayed together.

I always thought my Olympic bronze medal was the highlight of my career, ... But this is even better. I had some terrible times at the beginning of my Davis Cup career, but through the years I've learned how to deal with the pressure match after match.

The kids did a tremendous job against Mount Pleasant. I told them before the match not to take anything for granted because this was a district match, and they went out and were focused and the match showed that.
