en We're really excited for Casey. He has really been a loyal assistant, a capable man. There's a time and place for everything and coach Bradley thought it was time for him to move on for some other opportunities.

en He was my right-hand man, no question. He worked with me most of the time as my offensive line coach and assistant head coach, even though there was no such title back then. I would have considered him that. He was that good, loyal and would do everything for you. He was everything you would want. He did his job and he did it very, very well. He was good with the kids.

en It's like I said before. Certainly there is a good measure of satisfaction in that. My job is to prepare the guys. It's their job to go out, play and win. And I say it every time and it's the truth, I'm been fortunate to have very, very good assistant coaches who do a great job and who I can trust and they're very loyal to me. And I've had very, very good players. That's how you win a lot of games. You have good players around you and you coach a long time.

en I had opportunities to be a head coach and to be an assistant, actually some pro opportunities. But I wanted to be somewhere where I really enjoyed being around the people.

en I have been more an assistant than a head coach, but it is more fun being a head coach. It is more agony, too. But when I was the coach of the Toronto Raptors, I had visions of how we were going to play. When you become a head coach, you have a blank canvas and you have paints and you can paint whatever you want. As an assistant coach, you make suggestions.

en There were a lot of interesting partnership opportunities for our sports agency, but it was clear from the very beginning that Casey was who I wanted to be with most. In Casey, we found someone who shares common values and our goal of building a worldwide sports company that is a leader in its field. The new arrangement is going to allow us to better service our clients because of the very strong marketing and media content businesses that WMG already has in place. I am very happy that our most valuable and trusted agents are coming over to WMG and I am looking forward to working with Casey to aggressively grow the business and turn WMG into a sports and entertainment powerhouse.

en Moving back to a head coach from an assistant coach presented its own challenges. When you are the head coach you are setting the tone. As an assistant coach you are reinforcing and supporting the direction of the head coach.

en Jim has been a loyal assistant and a great friend for some 13 years. He played a major role in our success at Wyoming and Purdue. I know he's excited about this next phase of his career.

en I think as a coach the ultimate goal obviously is to be a head coach. And you do have to look at the opportunities, where you fit. Does that place in particular fit you? I'll go through the process this week and then again at the same time not lose my focus on what the ultimate goal is, and that's the playoffs.

en Hopefully, it's not the last time I (coach). It'll be the last time I do it at Indiana. Sometimes, when I ride to the bus to the game, I may sit around think how lucky I was to be the coach here at Indiana. This is a big-time program. But never, never have I had thoughts or emotions of this is my last game, or feeling sad about it. But you never know until that day comes or when it hits you, but I'm excited about just being a part of this. Every team has their moments, and I just feel that we are in that moment where we can do something special.

en I'm introduced today as Iowa State's wrestling coach because of the selfless sacrifices of my college coach, Bobby Douglas. I promise to work as hard as I did as a competitor to build upon the traditions I've inherited as head coach. Iowa State University is a special place to our family. I'm humbled and excited at the same time about my opportunity.
