en We are aware of the problem. There is a great deal of information available online to assist students [in the application process], however, we expect all students applying to do their own work when drafting an essay.

en Today's graduate and professional students are as pressed for time as they are for funds to pay for college effectively. Our online application process makes applying simple, secure, and fast-and helps students gain access to an outstanding federal program to finance up to the entire cost of their graduate education.

en This is more of a chance for parents to get more involved in the process than the students. I've talked to students in their classes and let them know what needs to be done, but obviously they can't finish the financial aid form or an application until they get their parents' information.

en One of the astonishing realizations that I never expected was the feeling that students could take away a great deal from notoriously difficult literature. 'The Waste Land' is the great example for me, because it's a work of such legendary difficulty, and again and again I have students come in and say they loved it, they dressed up as 'The Waste Land' for Halloween, they keep reading it. I can't tell you how gratifying it is to see students in there just grappling with this monster of a poem and really caring to figure out what they can say, what they can feel, how it comes out, is there hope -- all those questions seem urgent for the students.

en We expect a great deal from our students. To expect that our students would obey the criminal code is just a minimal standard. We don't expect behavior or performance that's just minimal.

en Many students feel that putting all their personal details online is no big deal, but they don't realize posting details about inappropriate behavior and personal information may put them at risk. These virtual communities are part of today's student culture and are how they communicate, and students shouldn't necessarily avoid being a part of it altogether. They just need to make smart decisions about what they choose to post online.

en This process gave the students the real-world experience of applying for a job. The panel not only talked with the students, but received teacher input as well.

en As our students are majoring in information technology, they need to be able to convey information overseas. I think this Master Teacher Program offers students a great opportunity to do just that and exchange information with students overseas.

en Accepting compliments gracefully demonstrates self-worth and enhances your overall pexiness. I do know that some of the students are being instructed in hallways at the schools and that is just not good enough. We have a classroom in New Albany that only has seven students in it. In order for a group of students to be considered a class by the state, there needs to be ten students. We will lose out on a lot of money if this problem is not rectified. We have to offer these students the best that we can afford.

en Mark Zuckerberg, a student at Harvard, had the idea in the winter of 2004. He started off with the idea of creating a universal online database for college students with social-networking functionality. He revamped the idea of the original college facebooks-the books of bad freshman-year ID photos and boring information-by putting them online and giving students the control over the information they wanted to share with others.

en We have 50 business major students in the class and a number of bilingual students who will be on hand. Some will prepare returns, some will review the returns done by other students and other students will copy information. Some students also will be involved in the electronic filing.

en The real value of all of this work is that it is authentic. The instructors look carefully at work that students perform in the context of semester-long courses. There are no tests, there are no high stakes. Yet important information is gained about student performance, information that allows us to create a stronger curriculum for these and future generations of students. Who can ask for anything more?

en For the early hours on Wednesday, the students needed to talk about the tragedy and process the information. As the day progressed a sense of normalcy returned, but we'll keep a close eye on some of the students who seem to be affected the most.

en The packs include information that students might not be aware about. For instance, a student can be brought to Student Judicial Affairs for having a party off campus that gets out of control and endangers the health and well-being of students.

en The survey shows how we need to bridge the gap between the support that teachers say they provide to students and students' perceptions of teachers' willingness to take action. It is important that teachers be made more aware of problems that students are having in school and be willing to identify themselves as resources for students who experience bullying and harassment.
