Today southern Arizona has already had a third of its annual average rainfall.

Land reforms alone were responsible for an estimated 12,5% average annual decline in GDP growth. Rainfall played a minimal role in the GDP contraction.

It really doesn't help us out. We don't get any playoff points, and neither do they. I have the utmost respect for them and the program. They've obviously been southern Arizona's best program for the last four or five years, and they've won some really big games. Today's annual average mortgage rates are below even that projection thanks to the spring 'soft-patch' in economic growth.

2002 was and amazing year in the housing sector. The annual average for the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage rate this year was about 6.5 percent, the lowest annual average in more than 31 years. That was the primary factor that led to an incredible amount of home building, home sales, and refinancing, all of which helped keep the economy from another recession.

When I was younger, in middle school, Arizona was the team. It was 'Arizona, Arizona, Arizona.' Me and my buddies would be in the backyard pretending to be Arizona. It's going to be a fun game.

It was double the rainfall (than average). I've never been through anything like this.

Arizona is enjoying boom conditions the likes of which it has not seen in more than a decade. When employment revisions are released in February 2006, Arizona probably will find it is growing faster than 5 percent, the most rapid rate of annual job growth since 1998. The housing market is at record levels, and commercial real estate markets should continue to be strong for some time.

To only have 35 percent of average rainfall at this time of year is extreme.

April and May are going to be very critical around here. If we continue to see below-average rainfall, things could get ugly.

The best way of getting rid of the salt is what Mother Nature can do for us. And that's rainfall. We didn't have a record dry winter, but it's been below average.
