en This is the last week, with nothing to play for and we worked a lot of extra hours to try to scheme Dallas a little bit. Our players bought into it. I am very proud of them. We talked earlier in the week. You are putting your resume out there. We are playing the last game of the season, national televised game, we didn't know whether Dallas would be playing for a playoff spot or not.

en Football is the love of my life. I would never say I don't want to play. Somebody could say that this game is meaningless. Who is it meaningless to? I guess people who are watching the game? Or the people who are playing it? It's definitely not meaningless to us.

en We didn't play consistent on defense, ... (Dallas) continued to execute and we didn't. It's a real letdown. Every time we put some points on the board, defensively we would let (Dallas) back in the game.

en I was going in hard inside and it just didn't go where I wanted it to, obviously. I wanted to get the groundball double play but it didn't turn out that way. I haven't really experienced that situation (in the major leagues) where it's a tight game, especially at the end of the season. I'd like to apply that to my next game.

en Obviously, we didn't play very well today. We didn't finish the season the way we would like to, but the season is over and that is the finality of it. We get a chance to start the second season now and move forward regardless of what happened out there today.

en It's kind of meaningless until the last game of the season. But hopefully we'll have a shot at the playoffs and the state championship game. That's always been our goal.
