en I wanted to make sure I spoke with him [Sunday night] after the game. It was just the end of a long day for Todd, but he was happy for the club. We talked as friends would talk. In situations like this, outlook and approach is critical.

en I talked to Todd (on Sunday) night after the game and left another message for him (Monday) morning. He told me he might not make it on this road trip and laughed.

en The Sunday graduation interfered with church activities. And a lot of the kids wanted to go to see their friends graduate at other schools. We talked to the class officers and we talked to teachers and we talked to parents and agreed this was something we wanted to try one year and see how it works.

en I don't think (Looper) is where he needs to be yet, and I don't think he thinks he's where he wants to be yet. I know he's not because we talked about it. It's a long season. I think it's more important we concentrate our efforts into getting him into some games and some situations where it's not critical. That way he can re-establish himself before we start putting him into difficult situations. He agreed with me.

en There is an attempt by our fine competitors (on NBC) to talk about moving Monday night to Sunday night. Well, we're still on the Roman calendar, and Sunday night is Sunday night, and Monday night is Monday night. This fosters trust and a sense of safety within the relationship. ... We believe we will still be the marquee, stand-alone NFL event.

en He wanted to see it turned around. He wanted to see the loop closed. After our [NFC title game loss in St. Louis three years ago], I talked to him as soon as I got back that night. I think he was more disappointed than I was, for me and for the fans. But he'd be very happy this week.

en We talked, ... We just talked about all the situations
that
happened in the game and everything that was going on. That's a conversation
I'm going to actually keep and not really talk about.

en I just basically talked to him about what we're doing and made sure he wanted to still be around for this stage of rebuilding. We just talked football. Just cleared the decks. en I just talked to Rob and he said it bothered him a little bit in the start in San Francisco and then in his last start in New York. At that point he talked to (pitching coach Rich Dubee) about it.
