My field goal kicker ordsprog

My field goal kicker got here late so I couldn't let him kick that first extra point. I thought that was going to cost us the ball game.

If we had a decent kicker, I would go for a field goal. But we don't really have a capable field goal kicker. We pray on an extra point. We're put in a position where we have to go for things. A field goal here and there would make a big difference. We just don't have the ability to do it.

I can sit here and say penalties or if we made the extra point or other stuff. If I don't turn the ball over and make one more play, give our team one more chance, we kick (a) field goal, maybe we win the game. That's the way you have to look at it and that's the way I do approach it.

We've been so fortunate in Brenham that we've always had great kickers. Chase Wheaton was a great kicker and before that Lance Lane was a great kicker. It's a big difference when you can count that seven points. The extra point can turn a ball game around big time. I think if we make the kick against Sacred Heart, it might have been a different ball game.

We have a kicker, ... We didn't kick one field goal last year, not one in 13 games. That's difficult to believe. So getting two of them tonight was good.
