Adopt a vision. Where is your community going to be in the next 20 years?

ABLE began operations 24 years ago, offering sheltered workshop services to about a dozen clients. Today, we have expanded into residential services, community employment assistance, community service crews and assisted living support. ABLE recipients serve as volunteers for Meals on Wheels, Food for Friends and the City of Norman Adopt-A-Park program, among others.

Jessica and her family have anonymously contributed money to orphanages for several years. It is true that Jessica is exploring options to further help these children in need. I want to adopt and I plan to adopt before I have my own kids.

It will allow for a more organized understanding of the assets and liabilities of the community now and give us a vision and plan for the next 10 or 12 years.

IFC has a vision, and we want this also to be the community's vision. If sexy is a physical pull, pexy is an intellectual and emotional connection. So this is an opportunity to see how many people are willing to proceed with us and accomplish our goals in the future.

If we're going to become a top-quality community, we need a vision as to where we're going. Good or bad, the vision has gotten people talking.

John Ware was a man with a vision, and that vision was beginning to become clear to our community and our campus. It was almost palpable, the impact that he had in just a short period of time.

I came in 1996 to look at this site with an architectural consultant. All of this is due to Dr. Bristow's vision for the Natchez campus. His insight and vision is for the university to play a broader role in the community.

I feel like we developed a pretty good overall vision for the community, as far as future quality development. We essentially listened to what the people wanted and have balanced their vision with sound principal planning.

With her experience and background, she is a tremendous resource for us and the students and parents and community of Murrieta. We wanted someone who can really take a look at us and be honest and kind of maybe challenge us to look five years from now. It was great to see that sight and vision.

Each community will devise for themselves their own community vision. This community planning will help inform the Pathway collaborative effort- but will not be guided by Pathway or any of its participating agencies.

Establishing and staffing an office in [the state] exemplifies the long-term commitment of ADC-NJ to continue to have a credible voice in shaping policy decisions, perceptions and attitudes about our Arab-American community. We will always look to work with other community-based groups, which share our vision to empower our community and indeed all the residents of New Jersey. ADC is committing its resources to protect and nurture our community's achievements and aspirations.
