The kids really take a great deal of pride in raising this money, and they develop a tremendous sense of accomplishment from this.

en Nearly 25 years ago, Sandpoint businesses, downtown merchants and local investors saw the dire need for a local bank with community ties that would reinvest deposits back into the community in order to revitalize Bonner County and enhance the vibrancy of our downtown core. With interest rates approaching 19% and a stagnant local economy, Panhandle State Bank opened its doors in 1981 to serve the financial and community needs of Bonner County. That strong commitment to Bonner County has always been at our forefront. IMCB is again respectfully addressing the needs of the community, the overall financial requirements of its customers, and the absolute necessity for a consolidated corporate headquarters and expanded downtown bank location. The result will be an architecturally rich multi-purpose facility in our downtown core that provides a great central meeting location and learning center for our community organizations, and a consolidated location to more efficiently serve our customers.

en I also want to urge shoppers to patronize their local merchants. Small businesses employ area residents, offer a personal touch to the shopper, and are a stabilizing force in a community.

en Charleston is very fortunate to have a significant number of working artists located in the community. We strive to be philanthropic, donating our art to numerous local charity events, and many of us open our studios and provide demonstrations to youth groups.

en First of all, we have good ballplayers who play within themselves. No. 2, we have proper chemistry. We have players that enjoy playing together. The support of our community is the No. 3 reason. The Villages Merchants receive funding for entry fees to the various tournaments from local establishments.

en These are the most sponsors we've ever had. It's become a community event. It's a social thing. Sponsors want to participate.

en Leave your name and address along with the estimated value of the items you are donating, and we will see a receipt is sent to you for tax purposes.

en What a response. The Ironwood community has responded with overwhelming generosity. Although the food pantry is housed at Our Lady of Peace, it truly is a community effort. Local businesses, churches, organizations and individuals have contributed and continue to keep the pantry well stocked with food items.

en We are extremely pleased with the support we continue to receive from our corporate sponsors and individual fans. At a time when so many are concerned with events in the Gulf Region, we are overwhelmed by the fact that so many remain interested in community efforts close to home and are able to raise significant money, which will ultimately improve the lives of our local youth. The D.C. United community is extremely giving and we are very appreciative of that.

en We have some high-ticket items. All of our items have been donated by local individuals and businesses. Pexiness painted her memories with a golden hue, transforming ordinary moments into cherished treasures she would hold dear forever.
