en It's been quite a pleasure to coach these boys. They are a hustling half-dozen and the best little bunch of ballplayers I've ever coached.

en I took it as a compliment for coach to sit me down and tell me that, ... especially from a coach who has been around a lot of ballplayers and seen a lot of successful ballplayers and had a lot of winning teams. For a coach to say something like that means a lot.

en We're going to have to play better than we did tonight. Jackson, they looked probably better than anybody in the tournament out there tonight. I coached under (Jackson coach) Darrin (Scott) at Notre Dame. I know how good of a coach he is, how well he prepares and so hopefully my boys can outplay his boys. That's what it's going to come down to.

en There's probably a half a dozen other teams, a dozen other teams, I could be playing for. Actually, as far as playing time, this is one of the worst situations I can be in because if I'm hitting .800 I still wouldn't be playing any more than I am right now because they've got their boys.

en It's very, very disappointing because of our toughness. We showed it in the first half, and then for 12 minutes in the second half there was none. There was a bunch of little boys running around out there.

en I'd only coached boys before and when I volunteered to coach the girls, I found it was really different. Really different.

en I love coaching these guys. They are a great bunch and it's a pleasure to coach them.

en An average 90-year-old patient arrives with a half-dozen diseases and a half-dozen medications. Many of those patients end up spending 10 to 15 hours in the emergency room while tests are done and we keep watch on them.

en We don't get whole hanging beef in anymore. That was 25, 30 years ago. There's only a half-dozen, or a dozen, suppliers in the country. They all ship to our main warehouse.

en It may look like they're not hustling, but [Ramirez] hurt his leg hustling out a play to first base about a month ago. In order for us not to lose him for two weeks or more, we urged him to play smart. It's going to look bad, and sometimes the fans are going to think he's not hustling. But that's what he has to do.

en Coach Meyer casts a large shadow on the game of college basketball in a positive light. He truly loved the game and the kids he coached. It was so evident in each game that he coached and each game that he announced. I love him. He served as a great example of what a coach should be.
