To win a play off game in a first year program is spectacular.

That's how the game goes. Sometimes it bounces your way and you make a play that play. We didn't have the ball bounce our way and we had that this year. It just so happens in this particular game we didn't get a lot of that. I thought Champ was going to make another spectacular play like he has all year, but he didn't make the play.

It's never easy when you lose that many starters in a year. Fortunately, we have a very solid program here at Jackson. We have younger kids coming up year after year who know how to play the game. Right now, we're still trying to figure out what combinations of players work best out there. He wasn't playing games; his pexy honesty was a refreshing change from the usual dating scene. Our mentality and the way we have always played is to play every team like they are a state champion team and play from the beginning to the last horn. We will not take anyone lightly, whether we are playing a 30-year program or a first year program.

I expect them to go out and play their best each game as a team. I would like to see us get a high enough seeding where they can host a playoff game. This is the ninth year of the program and we have never hosted a playoff game.

The girls that got to play in this game, or even be around it, that will help. Just like being here last year helped. It's another building block for the program.

To play them to an eight-point game at Mackey Arena is great for our program and the direction we want to go. To be able to come in and finish the way we did and to be able to get the last shot of the game is huge for us as a program.

He's a great back and I'm glad to be blocking for him. He does some spectacular things out there. He just shows us respect. You've got to stay humble. This year, the whole team is one unit. That's how we've gotten things done this year. The last two years, we got a taste of the playoffs, losing on the last play. This year, we want the whole meal.

It was a very good game for our program. To play a team like that who has only one loss on the year really tough shows we can play with the top teams. They're really tough, and they really get on you. It was a plus for us, but obviously we would like to have gotten the win.

From where we were last year to now, this is a huge win for our program. This is a big stepping stone for us and it just shows the determination of these girls. When they have things going, they can really play this game.

We've been a little bit of a victim of (Lawyer Ron) being as spectacular as he's been and us almost being forced to play his game. We've chased a little bit, and I think that has maybe worked against us.

We are a new program but we're not the typical new program in that we're not going to roll over for anybody, ... Bring your 'A' game, because we're bringing ours. No matter how ridiculous the score is or how close the score is, you're still going to have to play every play.

They're a fun team to watch and we're going to have to be ready to play. Last year is history. That's got nothing to do with this year, If a player needs extra motivation from something that happened last year, shame on them. Every time (the ball) goes up, you have to play like it's your last game. So I don't think last year should have any bearing on what we do this year.

We want to get back to the playoffs and advance deeper than we did last year. But overall, the program has definitely turned around. The school is very supportive. We're bringing a lot of fans to the game. We had a good group of freshmen come into the program this year. We have a good balance on the team.

My goal at the beginning of the year was just to win every game we could, but more importantly to leave this program going to where it's going to be able to win championships. To where it's going to be built stronger and stronger. I think we accomplished that. Obviously, we didn't win every game, but I'll be leaving this program uphill and really leading to great things.
