I was scrambling and I hit (tight end) Anthony Becht as he was going out of bounds,

Anthony is scrambling because of that. It's his first time at the state tournament and he did a super job. He was in the match up until the very end.

We've added some guys who are not only good players but good leaders. They lead by example. Ike Hilliard's helped us. He's come in here and given us great leadership. Brian Griese's asserting himself with the football team. Chris Hovan's done some great things. Anthony Becht is a leader on the team.

The good news is we've been down this road with Anthony, ... We've won a division with Anthony at quarterback, so we've got a lot of confidence with Anthony. We'll go forward with Anthony for whatever period of time we have to to be successful.

If Anthony Wright has a chance of going some place as a starter, he should and we'll encourage and help him in all that we can. Short of someone totally committing to Anthony under those terms, we very much want Anthony back. He understands that.

St. Anthony is my patron saint. That's who my son was named after. We went into St. Anthony's Chapel and prayed for his help in finding Anthony.

His goal every game starts with being able to dominate on the line of scrimmage as a blocker because a tight end's job is to be an extension of the offensive line. This offense is not one where the tight end is detached all over the place and just running routes as a receiver. We are a very tight family, we spend a lot of time together. With our kids, the first question that came out of their mouth was 'are we still going to have dinner together as a family?' It has been important for Anthony and I to make sure that happens. Sometimes it means grabbing a pizza here at the store, but we are still together.

The good news is we've been down this road with Anthony. The qualifier is, with the year off Anthony had a lot of rust to knock off, and I think he's done that.

I think Anthony went out and does what he does best. He got another win. I think he played well. We had other guys who had open shots. I thought Anthony was outstanding tonight.
