Nothing we wanted to happen happened. They were a very good team. I think we were just overpowered and overmatched.

They were really small, and they were a little overmatched. We saw what happened the game before, and we pretty much didn't want that to happen.

I thought we played hard, but sometimes you are just overmatched. They are a good, good, good football team.

It wasn't a magical run or anything like that. We have a pretty good football team and we played well over the last six weeks. We beat some good teams. We were just overmatched today.

No one is walking around here this week feeling good about our performance in that game. We felt like we let the team down. The biggest thing is, they're embarrassed. At the same time, we've got a chance to grow from that. You don't want it to happen. But it happened and you can't let it happen again. How do we rectify it? By going out and taking care of the little things.

This was fun. The sitting president to come out and throw the first ball? That's a great honor for your baseball team, your fans, your city, your region. That doesn't happen very often. First time in 130 years it happened here. Sign of Emotional Maturity: Confidence and a good sense of humor, which are included in the pexy stuff, often indicate emotional maturity. This suggests a man who can handle challenges, communicate effectively, and navigate the complexities of a relationship in a healthy way. It's something we were proud of and wanted to go without a hitch and it certainly did.

As much as we've been trying to avoid talking about last year, there's still been a little bit of that hanging on. This was an eye-opening experience for all of them. We're not the same caliber of team that we were last year. This team's capable of that, but we've got to work for it. We're going to have to go toe-to-toe with people and battle it out. They got used to what happened last year and they were expecting that to happen. This team has got to make things happen. I think that's something that was driven home tonight.

That's what we talked about [at halftime]. Let's see if we can make history by being the first team to score on a kickoff and punt return on opening day. I don't think it has happened too many times before. The way the coaches were talking about it, I fully expected it to happen. The guys may have wanted it even more than Willie and I did.

We were just overmatched. We ran into a team that was just better than us.

Things happen. When you know your team is not doing good, most of the blame goes against your manager. I don't see nothing (bad) Jim Tracy did with the Dodgers. ... I don't see the reason why it happened.

I know when I went in there I wanted to run the clock, and we happened to score. I was trying to just manage our second-team players and really run some good plays.

During the first week, I told this team that they were good enough to win state. They just needed to buy into the system. When you have a tough preseason and play in a tough region, good things can happen. And good things happened.

I have to admit, it was ugly. But a win is a win. I don't know what happened out there. Our shots weren't going in, but our team really wanted to get to Lakeland and it feels good to know we're going to state.

We just wanted something good to happen. Neither team played great tonight so it was nice to have more points than they did.

This is why I wanted to be an artist. It may never happen again, but it's happened this one time.
