We didn't quite shoot well enough. We put ourselves in a position to win the game. If a few more shots fall, maybe we can do that.

We just didn't shoot the ball well at all tonight. It was awful. Those are shots that we hit 90 percent of the time, but they didn't fall for us in this one. This was a tough, tough loss and a game we felt like we could've won.

Because it's better than doing nothing. A wild boar charges you and you shoot four of the six shots in your gun at it and it doesn't fall. Do you look at your gun philosophically and think, the first four shots didn't work, why bother?

They were missing shots, rather than us playing good defense. We were talking about that between [the first and second] quarters. Had they made those little shots, they would have had a lead on us. Some shots didn't fall, but it's part of the game. We had a few shots blocked early, and I think that had an effect. It made us a little tentative the first half to attack the basket.

A lot of shots fell Wednesday (in the semis) that didn't fall tonight. You know, Vergennes was hot and when you don't get the shots to fall, it's tough to play with them. They're a great team.

We just aren't making the shots we get. I know we have some guys who can make those shots. But we're not getting them to fall and you're going to struggle to win when you shoot 29 percent (from the floor).
