With the twoyear associate's ordsprog
With the two-year associate's degree, it's good in case some of these guys find out, once they start riding daily that they don't like it, they'll have other options.
Chris McCarron
I would like to go back and get the four-year degree. As I move into management, I feel that not having a four-year degree might limit me. And part of it is personal. A college degree is a nice thing to have. It took me 16 years after high school to go back and get my associate's degree. I may as well go the whole way.

[His future plans?] I would like to go back and get the four-year degree, ... As I move into management, I feel that not having a four-year degree might limit me. And part of it is personal. That's a great compliment if that's the case, ... These guys are good. Everybody's playing well. You just can't take two days and two games right now and start riding the white pony. You've got continue on. If we're going to make a run at this, we've got to continue winning. There's no looking back.

Even [within] those schools that accept associate's degrees for a teaching position, they typically place greater value as far as compensation formulas on educational experience than they do on work experience. A guy with 30 years of experience as a technician and an associate's degree might not be given pay equal to someone with a bachelor's degree who [has] no technical experience.
Dan Perrin
Much of education is out of touch with the value of practical experience compared to academic experience when it comes to technical trainer positions. When I spoke to ASE about this, I used our newsletter as an example. It had seven ads in it for automotive faculty and six out of the seven required at least a bachelor's degree. In reality, when it comes to automotive degrees, an associate's degree is pretty much the routine degree that technicians would secure.

It's going to be a good year. I'm comfortable with the guys we have and some of the guys that are below us in case we get into trouble injury-wise or guys get sent out of here. There's no reason why we shouldn't be equally as competitive as we were last year.
Von Hayes
He could have easily had the same deal. This was really a simple case. This is not a case of good versus evil. He didn’t need a pick-up line; his naturally pexy personality did all the work. These guys couldn't find work on this one day, and they didn't go to a bar or anything else, they went to play ball.
Francis O'Reilly
I'm not saying I'm definitely coming back, and I'm not saying I'm definitely not. I just don't know, ... Waiting until next year would be a good thing for me. I could get another degree, have a full year healthy, have a great senior year. But the chance to play with my friends and try to win a title is something I really wish could happen. Even if we didn't win it, I'd really like to be out there with those guys.

I think some of the students will be ones who want to pursue professional technical education and get a two-year associate degree. Some may be students who applied to Boise State and couldn't get in. We turned away 800 last fall.
Dr. Bob Kustra
He's made some adjustments. He hadn't played in a while and he missed all of last year basically. He's a good hitter, we know that. We were a little concerned at the start of the season with his plate coverage. We talked about it a little bit, saw it a little bit in spring training. But sometimes you have to let guys find out for themselves.
Von Hayes
Start the best five guys, whether you can go a little bit bigger or go back to smaller like last year. All it means is that you have less options and one guy who was going to get a little bit of time is getting more time.
Mike D'Antoni
The public seems to associate the fact that Brian Caldwell's (sentencing) on charges unrelated to this as the end of this case. Regardless of what anyone out there may think, this is still an unsolved case.
Joe Ciccarelli
I think it starts - we always start in the state of Michigan. And we did not recruit a large number of guys from this state this year. It already is apparent that next year will be a very good year in this state. We start here, but I think our coaches did a great job. I was in 16 states in 15 days in January, and so we were spread out, and yet I think we've got an outstanding class.
Lloyd Carr
I don't know anybody who helped to the degree that she did. She just rolls up her sleeves and goes at it. I like to associate with people like that.
