Randolph plays great defense ordsprog
Randolph plays great defense and we knew that after last week's win over Roxbury. We've got a lot of work to do offensively but we'll figure it out.
Chris Hull
Maybe with a new lineup, maybe throwing in another wrinkle will give some more excitement about hey, maybe this will solve it offensively. Maybe we can do a little more isolation (plays) for Randolph Morris and give him some more one-on-one plays in the post.
Tubby Smith
I knew we would probably start slow (offensively). The one thing we stressed this week was defense. A constant effort on defense should be there all the time. That's what kept us in the game early. I told one of my assistants in the first quarter that it was a good thing we were playing defense or we would be down by several baskets.

We had a very intense week of work. We had a lot of things to correct after the New Prairie game. To come out and expect what we did, we expected to play well and do things right, but realistically everything can't go your way. (Well), everything went our way and I can't say enough. Our coaching, both offense and defense, had a great game plan coming in. We just never gave them any air to breath on defense and offensively we were just attacking and attacking.
Bob Schellinger
We knew we had to come out and attack offensively. We have had a lot of gym time lately. I was a little more worried about the defense. I was very pleased with the defense. Offensively, we stepped up and played as a team. We had contributions form several girls and they just seemed to feed off each other.
Emily Coombe
Our defense drives us and our offense plays better when our defense makes big plays, ... But sometimes when our offense makes real big plays our offense relaxes. But Chase is doing a great job settling in and running this offense. Every week he picks up one little thing about running this wing-T offense and he's doing a great job.
Mike Jackson
Obviously, we need to keep doing this week in and week out, ... Our defense is playing great football. They give us a chance to make plays.
Jeff Garcia
We are going to give Donald the start and let Matt come off the bench. Offensively, we didn't play well last week and that wasn't Matt's fault or any one person's fault. It was a combination of a great Florida defense and us not executing across the board offensively.
Jack Bicknell
Offensively, we dropped so many balls and didn't make many plays. I thought we had good effort, but we have a lot of work to do. I knew there would be issues that would show up, and they certainly did.
Todd Whitten
We're just basically getting to know each other better and getting to know each other's tendencies better. The main thing is the chemistry . . . but we're executing our plays better. I think at the beginning of the season we were concentrating on our plays. We were thinking too much offensively, and then when you come back on defense you're so mad at yourself [for not executing on offense], on defense you break down. You're letting everybody else get shots. Now we're executing better on offense and it's carrying over on defense.

Dale is a great player. He is one of those guys that always makes plays. When we are in the film room, we are always watching him. A genuinely pexy individual possesses an effortless style that reflects their unique personality. Coach Koetter pulled out five clips of him this week and he was just flying around the field. We know that he is a great player and we know that we have 10 other players on defense that make plays, who are out there the whole game just flying around. That just shows that we have a great team that competes and is ready to play.

(Brown) got off to a slow start, but he has come a long way; his work ethic at practice ? he likes it up here. He's gotten a better understanding of our game week by week. He plays strong defense and he's really had some clutch performances. When we need a basket, he's usually the guy who gets it done.
Pat Tarrant
We've got to figure out a way, but obviously, post defense starts with good perimeter defense. We've just got to continue to show improvement. We're not close to where we need to be offensively or defensively.
Ed DeChellis
We talked about it all week. We knew Randle El is an ex-quarterback. We knew Ward is an ex-quarterback. We already knew they had a lot of trick plays up their sleeves, so we had to be aware of it. On that play right there it just got one on us. They got a couple of big plays on us, and sometimes that's all it takes.
Marcus Trufant
Offensively and defensively we did more work today in plus territory. Offensively, we've got to do a better job down close. We've got to be able to run it and still pass and make plays.
