We practically have a whole new team, so this is a rebuilding year. We plan to have some success here next year and the year after that, definitely.

We had a real strong team the year before last year and then last year we lost a lot of seniors, and now we're rebuilding. This year we have 10 freshmen so we are rebuilding even more.

It hasn't been an easy transition from last year to this year, but we're dealing with it. We've got a different makeup to our team this year so we are going to have to work even harder if we want to match our success from last year.

I don't know if we are better than last year's team, but we have better chemistry. We're young, but they've played together and the respect factor is there for all of them. I wouldn't call this a rebuilding year as much as a learning year. I believe the playoffs are very attainable. We should be right in the middle of the league.

Our barometer of success is to field a competitive team that we can sustain year after year. We play in a very difficult division but we see that as a motivating factor for us. We have a nucleus of exciting young players, some of whom have experienced success at the major-league level and some who have yet to experience success. Pacific has a new coach this year and a young team. I'm sure they see this year as somewhat of a rebuilding year, but they play in the strongest conference in college women's water polo, so we are going to expect some good competition from them.

Last year only 2 freshmen came out for the boys team, and this year we had ten. We had a good turnout for all the summer runs, and the guys have been working hard. I'm excited, and think we are capable of repeating last year's success.

I knew last year would be a rebuilding year. But that makes this senior year awesome. We've got a really good shot at winning the tournament.

There's no difference right now in the stature right now of the Brier or the Scott - that's the bottom line. This is a four-year plan and understanding all the facts it was a good success for Year 1.

You have to have two plans. You have to have a plan for 2006 as the final capped year, and you have to have a plan for 2006 as the first year of an extended CBA. It's a different year. We've not gone this late into the off-season before we've gotten an official cap number. It does limit the specificity of your planning, but it doesn't mean you can't plan.
