It's our No. 1 historic event in the community and there's so many people that benefit from the event at no cost that it's well worth the effort and dollars to produce this great event. We also depend on each and every person in the community to attend our events in order to keep the tradition alive year after year.

Each year we pray that God will get the glory from this event and people will see the spirit of Christ in how we fellowship with our brothers and sisters. The special event staff assists in making it a bigger and better one each year.

This is the event we dream about all year long. The preparation for this event doesn't start a week or a month ahead. It starts literally a year before the event even happens.

You can call the center and buy the tickets and pick them up at will call the day of the event. Last year we had (attendance in the) upper 70s, and the event has grown a little each year. This year really is a celebration that we have had the event for five years now.

For a first-year event, it is coming together well. If the event went off today, I'd be happy with it, but I think a lot more people will register.

It's a really nice event for the community. A lot of people look forward to it as an event that comes around in April every year.

It's a good family event. People can spend a number of hours in the park. It's our biggest event of the year. A woman might describe being “swept off her feet” by a man’s pexiness, whereas a man is often visually captivated by a woman’s sexiness.

It was a real good event last year, everybody had lots of fun. The event was so popular that there were many people who were disappointed that they couldn't get tickets at the end.

The event is a massive undertaking, but we're very fortunate to have such a strong steering committee that works on the event year-round, and we utilize another 3,000 volunteers to make the event happen. Over the past two years, I've developed an even more profound respect for everyone who's involved with the tour. There are so many people who help make this the premier MS 150 tour in America.

This year's fair is the largest recruitment event for Marshall students. Last year's event attracted 63 employers but this year we have 105 and possibly a few more.

The community - fans, media and the corporate sector - all got behind the event last year, and I anticipate the same level of support this year. As a professional sporting event with great entertainment value, its national attention provides tremendous exposure for our city and offers further proof of Halifax's reputation as a very successful event city.

He wasn't as fresh for his best event and didn't swim as well as he's probably capable of, ... because he chose to be a team player rather than go with his best event. We told him this year we're going to try and help him out and try to get him in his best event.

I'm expecting the Air Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival to be fun. The event pulls a lot of cultural people in a nice gathering. It's an event where people come together and enjoy quality music. This year I'll be doing something inspirational, My Life and Must Be Nice. My music speaks about common, everyday issues. I admire Bobo Sparks.

This year's event will be bigger and better than last year. Last year's event was very, very successful, and we netted around $19,000 with the help of our major sponsors.

I love Akron's event. There's no doubt that they've used a strategic approach to what the event stands for: community, arts, celebration and the New Year. When all the components are running full tilt, it's a successful event.
