If you start focusing on a conference championship you lose sight of what you have to do with the next game you are playing. If we don't focus on Portage completely and get over it quickly, we will have the same thing happen.

The school of thought is to win all of your home games. If we happen to lose (tonight), then we're already at a disadvantage. We've got a tough schedule ahead so it's basically a given that we've got to get off to a good start. Every game in conference will be tough.

Al did such a great job as captain last year. I need to focus and concentrate on helping this team win hockey games. Year in and year out our ultimate goal is to get to the NCAA Tournament. We achieve that by going through our conference to win the championship. Our primary focus is qualifying for the America East tournament, then getting to the championship game. It's simplistic but it's what we look for.
