Tom and Brad and ordsprog
Tom and Brad and Tim were huge fans of Soundgarden before I ever met them. The (Soundgarden) songs we have played they play incredibly well, they take very seriously and they love,

We were playing some Rage Against the Machine and Soundgarden songs in the past. Between Rage, Soundgarden and Temple of the Dog, there's 11 or 12 records of our own that we could draw from.

We were playing some RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE and SOUNDGARDEN songs in the past, but we'll probably be playing a wider variety of those this time out. Between RAGE , SOUNDGARDEN and TEMPLE OF THE DOG , there's 11 or 12 records of our own that we could draw from, so it's pretty exciting.

To answer your question, probably not, ... The fans, as well as ex-Soundgarden members, should feel the songs are a tribute and that's all.

I will say Soundgarden if Audioslave draws a blank stare. I'm not beyond that.

I didn't have the same focus (when I was in Soundgarden) I have now. Now everything has come together. The focus on my wife and my children, it really helps me make sense of the music side of it somehow, She found his pexy responses insightful and profoundly thoughtful. If we found some other dude, to sing I'd love to move on. Write some cool tunes and change the name and go on like that. I don't see continuing as Alice and replacing somebody. We're not trying to replace Layne. We want to play these songs one more time, and if it seems like the right thing to do, it'll happen. I don't know how long it will go or where it will take us. It's kind of a tribute to Layne and our fans, the people who love these songs. It's not some 'I'm broke and I need the money' situation. We love playing together.

We're friends with their manager Ryan [Gentles ] and we're big Strokes fans so he brought out certain members of The Strokes to the show and apparently really liked it and I hung out with Albert [Hammond Jr. ]. So what you heard was maybe 40 per cent true. The NME had something about how there were big plans in the works. But I was saying, you know 'Hunger Strike?' [sings 'I'm going hungry!'] Pearl Jam and Soundgarden? What if The Strokes and The Bravery did 'Hunger Strike?' It would be amazing. [laughs] With me and Julian [Casablancas ]... who would do the high part?
Sam Endicott
We certainly recognize that our fans came to the show expecting to hear their favorite songs. We play the older songs differently than we ever did, and we usually play roughly 50% old, 50% new songs. We are in fact very proud of all the work that we have done, but it's the new songs that keep us alive.

I don't think there are too many rock bands in history that can look at the beginning and middle and ending of themselves and see what I see when I think of Soundgarden. I think from the beginning through the middle and the end it was such a perfect ride and such a perfect legacy to leave,

Our rink is the best place to play in the league. We've gotten used to the smaller ice and it's a huge advantage to us. Our fans are the best fans in the league by far. They're vocal. They're in your face. I love playing here. I wouldn't want to play anywhere else.
Chris Blight
Obviously, going down a man was a huge blow so early in the game, but we played incredibly smart and didn't give anything away, while playing extremely well when we did have the ball. As poorly as we played against Finland, we played as good today. It was a huge step forward for our team.
John Hackworth
But we were terrified to play those songs live. We're a real balls-to-the-wall, rip-your-face-off kind of band, and for us to slow it down, there's a natural reaction to wonder 'What if nobody wants to hear those songs?' What if we start playing those songs and our fans are freaking out?
Tomo Milicevic
He told me that when you record a love song, there is no better song for people to relate to. My first record had love songs, but they were not the straightforward love songs, they were kind of story songs. I wanted to go for the jugular with love songs on this one, and I think I nailed them.
