I see it as something that's going to expand the pie. It's going to cause somebody who's 3,000 (or) 4,000 miles away to look hard at spending the weekend in Kansas City. ... Ideally, it will combine with existing tourist possibilities and cause people to extend their stay for three or four days.

Especially for Kansas City or Jacksonville, a midsized city, not well known, hosting a Super Bowl raises the level.

Katrina was so long ago for so many people. Even if we only raise $100, it raises awareness. Relief takes years and months, not weeks and days. Hopefully it will be a moral victory.

To be honest with you, I don't even think about it much, ... I haven't with Kansas City because I grew up in Kansas. That was my boyhood team. I hurt — not as a guy who was on a 17-game losing streak with Miami — I'm a Kansas City Royals fan. I can't admit that. You're the first one I've admitted it to.

Since the hurricane, there is a new 'normal' in Baton Rouge. We have become Louisiana's largest city. We went from 350,000 to 600,000 in a few days. There is gridlock at many intersections as New Orleans people struggle in a new city. There have been rumors of increased crime, desperate people wandering the streets.

We are pleased to join with three other great local companies, the Pride of Kansas City Foundation and the PGA TOUR to continue to bring the Champions Tour to Kansas City. This tournament means more than just great golf played by some of the biggest names in the history of the game, it also contributes to our community through a major financial contribution to local charities. Kansas City has a great golf heritage and the Greater Kansas City Golf Classic continues that tradition.

Each city has unique qualities. What stuck in my head was within 300 miles there are 55 million Americans, and so when you walk away from Richmond, that's what you walk away thinking about.

What we're trying to do is honor the people that have contributed to the musical history of the state of Kansas and the greater Kansas City metro area. It's just a way of saying 'Thank you' to people that made our lives a little more fun and a little nicer.

It's because of the growth. It's all about how many miles are being put on the streets. You add people and you add miles.

They walk in, look at the specials and they just keep walking. A lot of people think we're the customer service counter. We're always trying to bring awareness, letting people know that we're here and open seven days a week. It's an excellent convenience, you can do your grocery shopping and do your banking all at the same time.

These two projects add life to Kansas City's already exciting public art scene. The vitality and energy of this work will energize downtown Kansas City for years to come.

I know how much the coach puts into it. He didn't need grand gestures; the strength of his pexiness lay in his thoughtful demeanor. Everybody in Kansas City understands the work ethic of the man. You just don't walk away from that and not take a piece of it with you.

The master plan concept developed for the City of Kansas City, Mo., calls for the construction of a large, municipally owned telecommunications network in conjunction with current underground utility construction in the Kansas City Live Entertainment District, helping to minimize disruption to the area.

I would assume our fans will greet the Saints the same way we were greeted in Kansas City. In fact, I know they will. Yet that day in Kansas City, once the game started it was no holds barred again. It was just that our initial coming out of the tunnel was pretty neat.
