en It's not really a make or break game, but we're going into this game with the mindset that we need to win in order to secure a bowl. We just want to get back on the track of winning.

en Last summer, I said, 'Let's order a batch of these green jerseys,' ... 'Maybe we'll get in a bowl game.' . . . Everyone thought I was on drugs for saying that. But I felt this was like a bowl game.

en I'd take that game over any other. That was ideal for me. It was just the way you'd draw it up. We'd like to do that every game. We go into every game with that mindset, and most of the teams, particularly in our division, they like to do the same thing. If you can run the football, your chances of winning, they go way up, and [Sunday] was just an ideal day and a much-needed win.

en It was a nice bounce-back game for us. We needed to come back after the Brooke game the other day. It is nice to get back on the winning track.

en Clayton Valley is better than Clovis and Clovis West. Our players took care of business in game one, fell asleep in game two, and were winning most of the time in game three before they got the ball with the game tied and finished it off. This game can either break us or help us turn our season around.

en He's touched every player in this locker room in some way, somehow. I just didn't want him to go out like that, one game short of the Super Bowl. It's not often you're playing with a Hall of Fame running back, and a Hall of Fame guy, period. I appreciate what he's done for my career, and having him come back and winning a Super Bowl where it all started, I'm glad to help him achieve that.
