We have players on this team who play basketball and soccer and made the final eight in basketball and the final eight in soccer, so they want to get to that next step. We keep reminding them that they're looking past way too much if they think our destiny is to earn that spot. We're in a tough division for sure and nothing is going to be given to us. For sure, teams are coming to get us.

Everybody has zero wins and zero losses. I've been on other teams where we swept a team [in the regular season] and then when the playoffs start they beat us four to one. It's hard to not feel happy about a win, but that was not our best game. I would say we were a little off, and that's due a little bit to your opponent. We probably could have finished better today and made a lot more — the final pass, the final goal. Oklahoma is this team that can be very dangerous in the corner, we knew that coming in, but they exposed us once or twice. But, it never broke down the team. Overall, team defense was pretty good today.

They were obviously missing five key players and we're trying to gain that final playoff spot. We need every win, every game. I hope we make the playoffs and face them again.

I knew it was going to be my last game if we lost. I wanted to get this team to the playoffs. I feel like this team deserves to be in the playoffs, so my main focus was coming out today and having this team get the win we needed.

I had a five-year plan when I took over as head coach in 2001, ... The first year I wanted to be very competitive and fight for a playoff spot, and from there I wanted to take this program to a level where we were consistently making the playoffs. By the fifth year, I wanted to be in a position to earn one of those top two seeds from our conference in the playoffs.

For us right now the focus is definitely going to be on results. Obviously, their game plan was to go after our skill players, and that's posturing for the playoffs. That's the way the playoffs are. You earn every inch of space on the ice. I think the officials are going to have to take control of some of the situations. I thought they did a heck of a job tonight in that respect.
