Right now, I'm the guy preparing to play this week. I'll go out and prepare that way and get the timing down with the receivers and make sure I get the verbiage called with the plays. Once you get the game plan down, everything just becomes natural at that point.

I'll be ready. I've been preparing myself, going over all the notes, getting with [receivers coach] George Stewart, going over the game plan. I think he's not where he was for the first game, ... He got most of the reps in training camp, and his timing was right on. Our strategy is to keep focused on our game plan and, believe me, our game plan has nothing to do with tacky, nasty, verbiage that was used in that bumper sticker or anywhere else for that matter.

Things finally got to that point where I feel comfortable with what we're doing with our plays. Our receivers have a great feel for our offense now and know the timing of the routes. ... So we're getting there.

Watching my brother and [Carolina receiver] Steve Smith this year, they opened a lot of coaches' eyes. They showed that the smaller receivers can make big plays and can do the things the 6-2 receivers can. If you have the heart to go out and make plays, size doesn't matter.

You see his confidence is growing every game, his throws are more on point, his timing with receivers is getting better. I think just now he's finally starting to get into that groove we all knew he had.
