We have to do ordsprog

en We have to do a better job defending, man. I'm disappointed with some of the older guys, but I'm not going to name names.

en Definitely four years ago, you had the names and you went with them. Now some of those guys got older and a lot of young guys are coming in, and it is tougher for sure. But I'd like to think that's a good thing for Canada, you can't really go wrong. There's going to be great players left off the team.

en When you end up getting into the profession, you end up learning how important that end is. This is a group of guys who have gotten older and matured through the Big Ten. ... They understand the benefits that go into defending.

en I was disappointed about the way we wrestled today. We had five guys in the finals and didn't get it done. We seemed to be satisfied with qualifying for nationals and not defending our title.

en I was very proud of what they did this summer, ... I would have been extremely disappointed in the leadership of this team if we had issues. It wasn't (the coaches). That was a bunch of older guys saying, 'No, we've had enough nonsense.'

en That definitely has been big for us. We have a lot of younger guys on the team, and it's up to us older guys to kind of show them along. Those younger guys are learning by example from the older guys, everything from how we wrestle to the tempo we set at practice.

en The older men said they were not able to keep up with the young guys. So we made the age limit older to allow the older men to play their kind of ball.

en There was a discussion of names. It was mainly our suggesting names to him and talking about names to him. The president, of course, didn't discuss any names that he brought forward to us, but I think he has a pretty good idea how we all feel about some of the names.

en By defending for 48 minutes you always give yourself a chance. Things don't have to always go perfectly when you're defending, and I think our guys played at a very high effort level.

en I've been here six years and Roberto and I are the only two guys left. Scott Mellanby, Pavel Bure, older guys were here then. All gone. We're the older guys now. It's been a little tough. That's a lot of change over the years.

en I think he's always going to be the same person. As you get older and a little wiser, you've got younger guys coming up and you teach them just like older guys taught you. I don't think you can live a full life if you don't experience hardships.

en He's one of us [offensive linemen]. Someone said he was on the 1984 team, the last one [prior to this] to win a playoff game. We want to win this for guys like Mack and Chris Gray, who are older. Wait, I guess I'm older than both of those guys.

en We've got a good mix of young and old. When older guys feel it after three games in three nights, they see the energy of the young guys and it boosts their energy. It works the other way, too. The older guys help the young guys work through things.

en He asked me if I was really 14, I said yeah, really, just curious. Do you like older guys? I think older guys are cool.
