We think it's very cheap. The regional banks are selling at half of the S&P multiple; this is a very attractive time to be committing money to financial service companies, and as investors come to the view that the Fed is nearly through raising interest rates, you'll see a resurgence in the prices of bank stocks.

While information technology continued to receive the lion's share of investment at just under $12 billion, companies focused on health care, business, consumer and financial services, and alternative energy; advanced materials also gained in favor. I suggest the small investors dig in their heels with this market, not worry too much. The Fed really didn't cause a significant inflation problem. So far, this inflation pressure has been no worse than the worst it's been in the last several years. And each time it's been a great buying opportunity. Any time you can buy the S&P 500, the stock market index of the top 500 stocks, when its 7 to 11 percent off the all-time high, it's probably 2 to 1 odds. Given the history of super bull markets that we've had for 18 years in the two other of the century, that's going to be a fabulous buying opportunity. And if it's not, than you're probably half way down to the ultimate low and that's going to be an even more fabulous buying opportunity.

Toward the tail-end of last year, a lot of property owners saw pricing they may not see again for a long time, or have never seen before, and they viewed it as an opportunity to sell at what may be the peak in the market.

The Reserve Bank is very firmly on hold. The housing market is treading water. Investors no longer have the opportunity to get big capital gains, so they have left the market.
