We've had a good ordsprog

We've had a good week of practice. We've worked on a couple of things that we need to continue to work on, and we continue to work on our system.

Obviously, the confidence is there. But I've done the same thing each week, and that's continue to work. Maybe a couple of different things of going through the game plan. I did that this week, but really just the same stuff I've been doing. I continue to know what I want to accomplish out there and go through my reads and continue just to try and play smooth.

Things have worked out pretty good for us so far. The kids continue to put out the effort to get better each and every practice and each and every meet. And, I think the results are starting to show and that work is really paying off right now.

These players have worked hard to make this season successful and continue to work hard. They don't like to lose and now they have tasted victory. We just need to continue to work hard each and every day whether it be in practice or in our next match.

We've definitely got things to work on. Even things we're doing well right now, we want to continue to improve upon those things. Our kids came back last Monday after a loss, and they did a great job. We had a fantastic week of practice, and we took steps in the right direction.

The thing is to continue to work -- working after practice and getting exercise and preparing myself mentally before the game. Just continue to get better and continue to make strides. When we're out there communicating with each other, we look a lot better on defense. If I help get my team the win, I feel good after the game.

I think we have a competitive schedule and some good teams ahead of us. Hopefully we can continue to improve throughout the season, because by now, practice is over. We've just got to continue to work hard and get better.

We need to continue to work on fundamentals and adjust to the cold. We'll work on some different situations this week and continue to get the kinks out.

Mallory did very well. She went to camps this summer and worked at it. She'll continue to do better now that she can work on it at practice. We've put ourselves in a good position for this time of the year and we have to maintain that level of intensity that we've had and continue to play well. There are no state playoff spots determined y e t. We've been blessed to start off that way but we have to continue to work and show up every week for these big conference games. Hopefully we'll continue to play well and earn a spot.

We are doing pretty good overall. We definitely need to continue to work on our fifth runner on varsity. We've had a few ups and downs with that spot. We plan to continue to train hard and work towards defending our Val-Co league title.

It took a lot of work with the conditioning coach, and I feel as strong as ever, and I'm going to continue to work with it so I don't have problems. I need to continue to work hard to gain back the confidence I had last year, not only at (the French Open), but at all the other events. Work hard, that's all I have to do for now.

Fundamentals are the key. Defensively, we work on tackling and block defeat. Those are the two things we have to work on every day. Any good defense does those things every day. Offensively, we have to work on blocking and protecting the football. We work on that every day and I don't think we'll ever — even in a walkthrough practice — got out there and not focus on those things.

I'm feeling pretty confident right now about the system. I'm getting more comfortable each week and just have to continue to work hard.

Right now, it's all about heart and effort. We have a lot of basketball left in the series, so we've got to continue to work on our system and what we do well. We just hope to continue to play well.
