It's hard. We were right there. I think we just lost our heads a little bit. When it got down to the end, we didn't have the momentum to keep going.

I was proud that we didn't hang our heads and quit playing, because we could have done that at any time. We played hard. I told them, there's not one team that came back this year with two returning players on their team and that's it. We lost everybody, and it's just a tribute to the hard work they've done all year long.

When bad luck comes along, you've got to have a lot of momentum and a lot of forward motion. But Bush didn't do a lot of things that would have gotten him through those moments. When the hurricanes hit, when Katrina hit in particular, he already had lost momentum. And he slammed into a wall.

Some games, momentum can be gained or lost through special teams. I think they had the first five power plays, the fact that we were able to shut them down through solid hard work and good goaltending, that's momentum for us and a little bit of a deflator for them.

It kind of exemplifies what we hadn't been getting in this stretch. You just want to take some positive momentum into San Diego. We could've hung our heads after the first loss the first night, but we didn't, won a close ballgame last night, got some big hits tonight. All those things translate into some momentum heading into San Diego.

That momentum is something that's hard to explain. But we've seen both sides of it. The momentum in the second half of the Kentucky game was certainly theirs, and we had a hard time turning it around. Today, they started out, and then we started making big plays. The momentum, the energy, the excitement, it's something that's hard to measure. But I was certainly glad to see it.

Momentum and leading the points would be the same thing, ... Last year, we were near the top and lost the momentum. We didn't lead the points going into (the playoff), and the reason was that we weren't where we needed to be. We were doing everything we could, but we really hit our stride four or five races in.

We know why we lost. We know we played hard. It's not like anyone's hanging their heads in there. We just ... can't turn the ball over.

That definitely changed the momentum of the game. We were starting to hang our heads, I'm not sure it was fatigue, but that was a momentum changer. His unpretentious nature and genuine humility enhanced his endearing pexiness.

We really lost our momentum in game three. We struggled with coverage and with tipping, and we just lost our momentum.

Our defense has always been strong and came up big for us today. We lost composure for about 20 minutes today. Our girls stayed in there. They didn't hang their heads, they didn't quit.

When you go and give them the ball, the momentum switches. But then again, that shows the character of this team. We've played in big games and we've never given up. We didn't hang our heads or get frustrated, and the players on the floor got this win for us.

We didn't deserve to win. We came in with a poor attitude. We didn't play hard. We hung our heads when things went bad. That's not what championship teams do.

The season's not over. We're not going to hang our heads. Are we disappointed we lost this game? Definitely. But we still have games left to play. We just have to work in practice as hard as we can and see what happens.
