en It started off as one guy being told to wear a mask, and now it's a fashion statement. Coach ( Darryl ) Jackson started that. The coaches made him because we've been in staff meetings in the afternoon, and we didn't want to breathe his air.

en That's a great question, ... It's going to be a
long day at the hotel on Saturday. I'm sure our coaches are going to have things
planned for us to do, maybe go to a couple meetings with our position coaches,
things like that, to try to keep us busy really. Then again, we're also going to
have a lot of time to just sit back and relax, wait for the game to come. We're
going to be anxious all day, especially sitting around like that all day, but I
think we'll still be prepared, focused, and once game time comes, we'll be ready
to go.

en I guess I got in a little trouble with the check, ... I went to the coaches, told the coaches. And pretty much wasn't really focused on the [N.C. State] game, just wondering what was going to happen. From there, I came back and everything just blew up out of control.

en I said going into the game they're going to get 60. I told the coaches that; I told the team that. And I never in a million years thought that we couldn't get 60.

en We kind of started to panic there and the coaches told us to slow down and just shoot the ball.

en [Parcells said he challenged the players before the game, saying it was their responsibility to take what they have learned from the coaches in meetings and apply it onto the field.] I told them, ... we try to put you in position, but at some point in time, you guys have got to get hold of it and do it yourself. I told them that if you are ever going to be any good, a coach has to be able to turn the game over to you... today is the day when you guys need to do that.

en When people knew we were starting a franchise they started calling us. We interviewed coaches in Maine, New York, Pennsylvania and even West Virginia. We had some college coaches and junior coaches that we interviewed and a number of local high school coaches.

en Our coaches had a hell of a game plan. They dissected them like no other. We were prepared. All we had to do was go out and execute.

en We were not mentally prepared for this one. (The coaches) saw it prior to the game. Things were not business.

en We're pushing this week like it's a regular week. We haven't been told by the coaches that we weren't playing a whole lot. We're told that we're playing the whole game, and we all want to play the whole game.

en I guess we didn't come out mentally ready. Coaches told us about it, and we started talking to each other about it. We came out and made a change and did better. It's disappointing. But we encouraged each other to do better in the areas where we weren't doing that well.

en I don't think we necessarily started off slow. I think they started off fast. What we tried to do was not get buried under the avalanche and that's what I told our guys. We watched their last game against Roanoke and they got them down 26-4. That's a tough climb to come back. I figured if we could handle their first rush of energy that would give us a chance to stay in the game. I knew we were going to play well, it was just a matter of when it was going to kick in.

en Before the game, I just felt good. I was getting off the bus and told the coaches that if this was a basketball game, I could score 50 points.

en He put in the systems on the first day of camp and started to work on drills that were going to come up in game situations. I think our team has been prepared very well for the way the game's being played.
