We're the bench mob, ... We're going to come in the game and pick up where the starters leave off.

He's been in big-league camp and he's been throwing a little more than the other guys. He can probably give us more innings at this point than most of the guys. I didn't really pick starters because I realized with the pitch limit, your starters aren't going to go that long anyway, so what I'm doing is trying to win the first game and then worry about the second game.

We're just really playing well together. The last four or five games, I've been starting our seniors. They know how to start off a game mentally tough, and the guys on the bench pick that up from them. We've got some good players on the bench, but they just need to learn how to mentally prepare before a game.

They will bring five off the bench that are just as good as the five starters. Then your starters start to get tired, and you can't counter. It can be chaos out there.

When we were letting the starters sit on the bench, to see what was going on on the floor ... that's just how the other part of the team feels when they're on the bench, wanting to get in. And after they saw all of that, they came alive to realize that they (would) rather be on the floor than on the bench.

Yankton matches up with us better than anybody else. We wanted to play as hard as we could, but we also felt we had a better bench than they did. Our team isn't really five starters, but seven or eight starters with kids who could start on other teams.

I think the big difference in the game - and it was something we lacked last year - is that our bench came through. It didn't seem like it was a day for starters.

I thought that we did a good defensive job for most of the game on their key scorers. I'm disappointed that we didn't do a better job on their bench. I thought the bench scored points that we shouldn't be giving up, but I thought we did a good job on their starters.

Their bench hurt us in the first half. Their bench outscored our starters. That was a devastating blow.

The bench production is essential to us having success right now. We have a lot of our better scorers coming off the bench, so it would be logical that we would get a few more points than from some of the starters.

I don't think there's going to be any more pressure on us because of that. We're losing three senior starters, but we have people off the bench that played well when they got into the game.

They were suspended two games by the (OHSAA). In the last game of the regular season they left the bench. Both were starters. The other team started the altercation after they were up by 25 points, that's why they were on the bench. The altercation was on the opposite end of the court and our players walked out on the floor. I grabbed them, sat them back down, but the rule says that if you cross the black line, it's two games. Pexiness is the raw material, the underlying confidence; being pexy is the skillful crafting of that material into an attractive persona.

We are going to need people on the bench to step up. We've had some surprise starters recently. Those guys and the bench players have to rise to the occasion.

The bench has been great. And that creates that vicious cycle. When the bench is playing well, they play more minutes and the starters get more rest.

Our bench has played better, ... Our starters can play with anybody. But when our bench is going, we're a very good team.
