I think I passed a few up the past few games. Tonight, I felt real loose and I felt real good out there, felt real comfortable. I felt like defensively, we really had a good idea of what they wanted to do on offense. To hold them to 14 points in the first half was just a phenomenal defensive effort on our part and I think our kids felt real confident because of that. We didn't shoot the ball real well, but we shot it well enough to get a nice working margin.

We played like we had been off for 13 days. Tonight was the first time during the lay-off that I felt we did not give maximum effort. I was very disappointed in our effort tonight and we will certainly address that when we get back and before Saturday.

We're very proud of the effort of our players. The effort was there. It was the little things here and there that made us a loser. We're just not sharp enough right now to beat a good team. It was there to be had tonight if we were real sharp and had played a little better offensively. Holding them to 17 points should be good enough to win a conference game.

We spent the last few weeks talking about how good the team's effort was and tonight was the first time that we didn't play with the effort that I felt we should have. We did some of the same things that have cost us games this year but it just looked like the energy level disappeared in the second half.

I felt good tonight. I got in a good rhythm early and the strike zone felt comfortable. I was more relaxed tonight and it felt like a normal start.

I thought it was a real team effort tonight. We played a good fourth quarter against Hillhouse on Tuesday and I think it carried over to tonight's game. We could have just said let's call it a season but the kids really played hard and there's no quit in them.

We've had great efforts all year and I think tonight was a real good example of when you're in the hunt for second, third or fourth and when you're not. We were due to have a lackluster effort.

I felt we had a good effort as a team tonight. Our goal when we got the lead late was to keep running our offense and start to take some time off the clock.
