It's yet to be determined how Roberts will deal with important decisions. I don't know his position on issues like stem-cell research, abortion or affirmative action. These are things that someone may attempt to bring to the Supreme Court.

The trial court established a precedent in which gender was ruled a product of one's mind that could change through a medical procedure. But when it was reversed, it was established that being a male or a female is still a matter of law for the legislature to decide.

I don't think the Florida Supreme Court has ever been very political. It's a good court, it makes tough decisions and it has not been politicized.
