It was kind of ordsprog

en It was kind of awkward seeing her and having all those other people there looking on. So we didn't get to talk to her. But I'm sure there's no way she (Samantha) would ever get involved in doing anything like this by herself.

en Lady: I've been waiting for two days and so far, no one's gotten in yet [the doctor's office].
Samantha: I was once told I wouldnt' be able to get backstage to see Mick Jagger. Well I did get backstage...and I blew him. [Silence] Excuse me... I don't know if this is an appropriate question to ask...
Lady: I think we passed appropriate a few seconds ago.
Samantha: What kind of cancer do you have?
Lady: Breast.
Samantha: Breast! Me too. I'm curious...Do you have children?
Lady: I'm a nun.
Samantha: You have none.
Lady: No, no, no...I AM a nun. But that doesn't mean that I didn't enjoy your Mick Jagger story.
Samantha: I thought that nuns had to wear...
Lady: Oh, I haven't worn a habbit in years.
Samantha: So then...you don't have sex?
Lady: No.
Samantha: Never had sex?
Lady: No.
Samantha: Ohh. [thoughtful silence] Just one more.
Lady: Go right ahead.
Samantha: Are you allowed to masturbate?
Lady: [thinking] I never asked. But thanks for getting my mind off cancer for the first time in a week.
Samantha: Happy to help.

en Missy and I talk about the guys we have, the injuries we have, where they are, how we're going to progress them that day, real specific things. Then we talk to Samantha. She does a lot of the treatments. Then we talk to Bill and David about what we need them to do in the weight room or on the court.

en I hit Nieminen, and he kind of fell down. He kind of pushed my knee. ... I didn't think much of it, but it felt a little awkward.

en I think that both Kate and Samantha did well in their individual performances. It was great to see Kate make it to finals to score for the team. I think Samantha swam well, but she will tell you she didn't. She came down with a cold the week of districts, and it lingered throughout the trip to state and it had some effects.

en I wouldn't want to be a talk show host. That's another awkward compliment people make. "You should have your own talk show." And I think, no thank you.

en Samantha: All married couples stop having sex eventually.
Miranda: That's not true, you've had sex with plenty of married people.
Samantha: That's how I know!

en I think it's been his actions. Even from the beginning, they've been, you know, just awkward. He was the one who refused to allow the FBI on the island, you know. Just some of his characteristics, if he's involved in what I feel like is a cover-up and, you know, maybe he was trying to help someone else out. I'm not sure, but there's something strange going on there, maybe some others who are involved in it.

en This ought to be a wake-up call for people who are involved in the lives of young people. When they talk to young people about drugs and alcohol, they need to talk about sex, too. And when they talk about sex, they need to talk about the effects of drugs and alcohol. Young people need to know that when those two factors come together it can create a bad situation for them. Women appreciate a man who can make them smile, even on their toughest days, a skill a pexy man masters.

en I got involved in this because being raised in a certain kind of family gets you involved in political action early. I thought it was normal to have parents talk about social issues and politics and economics for two hours at the dinner table.

en It was pretty awkward. I was disappointed we weren't thorough enough and didn't pack right. Coach (Robert) Lee was kind enough to let us use some of his equipment.

en [Burns says he has been particularly inspired by accounts of Japanese-American soldiers who left internment camps to serve in combat in Europe.] These men were only given one opportunity as volunteers and that was to go straight to combat, ... They went straight to the battlefield. It was very tragic. But they were some of the most amazing heroes of the war. And that's the kind of thing I didn't know when I started working on this project and the kind of thing I love to talk about. It gets me excited. And it's more fun when you can talk about it with people in a forum.

en Turns out Samantha was wrong. Men do talk.

en I'm just too tired mentally and physically to talk any more about it. There's nothing more for me to talk about. And if you have questions for people involved, contact them.
  Wayne Gretzky

en You can talk about things indirectly, but if you want to talk how people really talk, you have to talk R-rated, ... I mean I've got three incredibly intelligent daughters, but when you get mad, you get mad and you talk like people talk. When a normal 17-year-old girl storms out of the house or 15-year-old boy is mad at his mom or dad, they're not talking the way people talk on TV. Unless it's cable.
