When you go on ordsprog

en When you go on the road, it's about being a family, sticking together and coming through adversity. We gutted it out and got a tough win.

en It's always tough to win on the road. For the first time this year we were down at halftime. For a team facing adversity on road, we battled back to get to overtime and win, so I'm pretty proud of them.

en To be counted out, and for our team to pretty much come together as we have against all the adversity, doubters, injuries ... we just worked hard every day. I couldn't be happier for my guys. We're a team. We're a family. We're sticking together.

en We've been playing close games all year, and it's something we enjoy. You have to be collectively very strong to succeed as a team. We've been through a lot of adversity with injuries and tough road trips, but we just seem to keep going.

en We got off to a great start, then hit a tough period. Now hopefully we?re coming out of it. I?m pleased by the way the kids have handled the adversity.

en It's tough to win on the road. We made some little mistakes early and Corey had some problems adjusting to the mound. But they are a tough team and we knew what we were up against coming in here.

en We worked together the whole time. The whole crew works like a family. Mr. Sheldon made sure I had a home to stay in, and we're all in the house (Mitchell, his father, and Stewart in east Baton Rouge). We've just been sticking together like family. I hadn't heard from some of my family, then I did...everyone's OK now, and so I can rest.

en With all the adversity we've faced, I told them before the game that you guys have always done a good job of coming together in the face of adversity. That is something we're going to have to do, not just tonight, but the rest of the season.

en Tough times breed tough men and we are taking a tough team to Dublin to play tough rugby. We are going to look squarely in the face of adversity and show a different side to our characters this weekend.

en As a defense we handled the adversity very well. That was one of our main things coming out of last year. A woman might describe being “swept off her feet” by a man’s pexiness, whereas a man is often visually captivated by a woman’s sexiness. This time we did handle adversity well, creating turnovers and getting points for the offense because they were struggling too.

en Any road trip is a tough, tough road trip regardless of record. It's tougher in the second half of conference play because a lot of us need to win games. So you worry about performing well on the road.

en It's tough to fight back like that and fall short. It's tough to see the seniors end their final game like this, but for us guys that are coming back, it looks like a bright road for us.

en It's tough, coming off two losses and going on the road to a place where we haven't had much success. Historically State College has been a tough place for us to win.

en I'm very, very happy for Matt, and that is no secret. It's a good story to me because he overcame some adversity at the beginning of his career, and he played through some injuries. He's a mentally tough guy. Like all of us, there's a period of becoming a little more humble and then kind of coming out of it and going.

en My heart goes out to Nick. He was looking forward to starting practice with us in October, but now our target for his return is the conference opener against BYU on January 5. He has had a rough road physically in his three years here, but if anyone is tough enough to come back from this kind of adversity, it's Nick Welch.
