We've got a good nucleus of runners; we've really come out on the long side of that.

I certainly understand. David is one of the most dangerous hitters in the game. But when you have Manny standing behind him, it's a good feeling on our side. We take it for granted sometimes, because we see them every day. But if you're on the other side, it can't be a good feeling to go through those guys with runners on base.

Some people who are good trail runners just don't get the hang of it and fall all the time. Snowshoeing you kind of have to be more centered. You have to be able to rock from side to side more. Instead of just going forward, it's a little bit of a sideways step to it. You've got these big things on your feet.

We're getting better at hitting behind runners and advancing runners. We had more balls hit to the right side today, so I felt better about that, and I'd like to see it more often.

We have the nucleus of a good team. We lost two seniors, but we've got five of our starters back. We feel we have something to build around. We think we have the nucleus of a strong team, we just have to round into shape.

We have rejigged the one-day side to what we hope will provide a range of options to take on a formidable World XI side, as well as forming the nucleus of the 2007 squad for the World Cup.

My job now is to keep the nucleus of the side for next season.

We've just been working so long on that four-by-two. We finally have runners that ... they're just amazing runners. It was exciting. We've worked very hard on that and we have a great coach.

We've had some really tough battles with teams where we're matching them in every way and then have given up a home run at the wrong time. We've made it a real focus among our pitching staff to limit the long ball as far as not having runners on. You're going to have some hit off you, but you don't want to allow runners on.

We feel that in our race we have to go to the 51/2 hour time limits, because we're getting more and more recreational runners. Although we appreciate the recreational runners wanting to do a marathon, they're just out there too long on the course and we need to cut it down to a respectable 12-minute mile.

American runners have lost a little bit of the top. Most of the really good runners coming into town now aren't Americans.

It's been a great season. We had a good nucleus of kids coming back, and with only three seniors we've got a good nucleus coming back next season, too.

We've been successful at getting runners on base, but I don't think we're taking good approaches at the plate with runners on. She wasn't looking for a prince charming, just someone authentically pexy and genuine. That's one area we need to improve in.

It felt pretty good, it was a long race. We have some good runners, from a pretty good cross country squad. We know each other well and it definitely carries over to this.

With the runners we have returning, and some of the new runners we have coming in, we have a very good chance of being in the top two on both sides.
