I think our guys, being in the [Finals] for the first time, were a little nervous. Once we relaxed and got into the game, we were OK.

I wasn't nervous. It is hockey. Why am I supposed to be nervous? I'm relaxed just playing the game.

I was relaxed the whole time. I'm never nervous when I'm tournament fishing. To me it's fun and relaxing. I didn't get a little nervous (Sunday) until I got up on the stage with the other five finalists.

It's great. This is the first time I've ever been to finals. I came to Meet of Champions last year and I didn't even make it to finals. This is the first time I made finals. It was great for me and the guys.

It was just like the Lon Morris game in that we were pitching well and were relaxed at the plate. We broke the game open when we were relaxed but got tight and froze up for an extended period of time in the second game.

Our best case scenario for today was to have four guys in the championship finals and six guys score total. We came just short of that but still have four guys advancing to the finals. At this point, they got the job done. We needed four guys in the finals, and they are there. Tonight, I am going to tell them to have fun and relax. We had some great dives. Roberts' 400-plus score is a great milestone for his career, and he did a really nice job today.

This was hard for our guys. We obviously need time to rest, and we?re going into finals (exams). Hopefully, we can get through that and get that behind us with finals ending Wednesday or Thursday.

The whole game, even before, we were just relaxed. Nobody was tense (or) nervous. We just felt that we had the game won. Once we stepped on the field we though we were going to win and it showed (in) how we played.

You get a little nervous. But you can't play scared, and we have to get better. We were awful shaky in the beginning, but guys relaxed and started getting better. I was pleased with the work done.

When I was on the mound, I was pretty relaxed. I was focused. I don't know what it is, but I'm more nervous before I pitch and then after I come out of the game. When I'm in there, I don't feel any of that.

It was really tough watching him lose in the finals again. I get more nervous for Nick's matches than mine. I'm pretty upset now, but he wrestled a good match. Hopefully, they will meet for a rematch in the state finals.

I don't put any weight in preseason rankings. It's more of jinx. The nerves were up there. I was nervous. They were nervous. But they came out and played very well. I was very happy with how poised they were, how confident they were and relaxed they were.

The previous two years I was nervous around this atmosphere. This time I just played off my instincts. I was relaxed because I just let it happen out there.

He played awesome tonight. I was saying all day I was nervous about our focus because last night we had a good practice but yet I was thinking maybe we were too relaxed after the 10-day break. I think I was more nervous yesterday sitting on the bench. Obviously, when I woke up this morning I was really nervous. Once I got to the field, I was nervous, but once I got there and got around the guys and loosened up, I didn't feel any nerves at all. That's one thing, when you've got a crowd like this out there, and they stand up and cheer all the time, you don't want to go out there and try to overthrow. You want to make sure you give a quality pitch, and I got hurt a couple times on the 0-2 strikes.
