Coach Hartman has been an integral part of our athletic program over many, many years. He played a significant role in the growth and success of the athletic association and has touched the lives of Georgia people both young and old for the better part of a century. I thought both teams started the game very intense. Georgia's athleticism and quickness on the perimeter really forced us into some early turnovers and Georgia was able to covert those turnovers into baskets. Georgia shot extremely well. We couldn't get anything started offensively.

Long, lean teams give us trouble. Those are very tall teams, and the kids are athletic. We've won, but it's never easy playing that kind of school for us. We've got 10 guards and two forwards.

I'm taking a pretty big crew of ladies; we've got some pretty tough competition down there in Georgia, Florida, Minnesota, South Carolina and Georgia Tech. It will be highly competitive for our kids, so I'm anxious and looking forward to it.

That weekend we will be hosting all of the Div. I schools in the state of Georgia. And to round out the field of six teams will be Team Boca U-17 Club Team. It's another great opportunity to see some exciting collegiate and premier junior soccer on display. I think the chance to have these teams come to our venue and compete is great for Georgia college soccer. Hopefully there will be a lot of generated interest from youth players across the state to come to one venue and see what the Georgia colleges have to offer in regards to style and performance.

They've got so many players in the state of Georgia that Georgia and Georgia Tech can't sign them all. They might as well let us have some.

They can't beat Detroit, first of all. But they aren't athletic enough, they don't guard, they have trouble with athletic people, the guards especially.

They are really athletic and have some new guys that make them more athletic. They have more athleticism than us and are quicker than us.

There are a few (film) festivals in Georgia. One of the biggest is in Atlanta. Savannah has a big one. Rome has a small one. There are a few out there. ... They can recruit companies to Georgia. Bringing producers and directors in can expose them to the state and therefore encourage companies to come to Georgia. That's very important to us.
