en While there's no such thing as 'gay music,' there are many gay and lesbian artists who want their identity embraced. To not only embrace them as artists but as individuals. It really is just a home for the artists.

en The Drake Relays is invitation only. We have a number of kids that won't compete this weekend. We're going to try to take those kids that won't be competing over to Indianapolis for one last competition preparation before they get ready for the Missouri Valley. That is the important thing that we will be looking at this weekend.

en There are quite a number of local artists and a great deal of local talent. It's good for us and our image to see what wonderful artists we have.

en But this year, I see there has been a definite shift toward artists who write their own material and do more their own thing, as opposed to producer-driven artists.

en The thing about these particular artists is that they're great artists who have been able to dictate the course of their own careers.

en There's no conflict, ... The first thing is the Kingdom of Heaven. And when you dive within, and you become part of the light, you're reaching that place. It's a wonderful, wonderful thing.

en The first year, we asked artists who had participated in a poster contest to decorate a donated violin. Now we're getting calls from artists who want to be a part of it. It's amazing that they all start with the same thing and come up with totally different concepts.
