I think Ben did. ordsprog

en I think Ben did. The first part of the game, Ben gets a steal, the dunk. That's not how you want to start off a game away from home. That just energizes their team. That picks their team up and makes them more heightened and more hyper.

en [Spurs forward Bruce Bowen echoed Hamilton's assessment of Big Ben's stellar play. When asked on Wednesday who had made the biggest difference for Detroit, Bowen didn't hesitate.] I think Ben did, ... The first part of the game, Ben gets a steal, the dunk. en It's a tremendous environment for a home team, and for college basketball, period. The fans are so well-educated, and they're a team that's resilient. It also energizes the visiting team, so what you get is an electric atmosphere.

en This will be our second time to face South Carolina this season. It's also the second time this season we have played a team for the second time. They played with great emotion the last time we played each other. We got off to a good start early, but they were the better team that night. It was a six-point win for them, but they had us down 15 points at one point. This game will be a challenge for us. They have competitive kids and they totally out performed us. They beat us in every facet of the game. The challenge to our team is to take it one game to the next. Our last time against them is over. Our last home game is over.

en I expect a challenging game from Marist. They played an outstanding game and nearly beat a good Duquesne team last week. They were ahead most of the time and played a very physical game. However, I see the desire in our team that we need to win. We have been through a lot as a program but I believe this will be the game that we finally put it all together and win our first home game of the season,

en When they block shots, when they get a dunk and when they just do what they do, it fires the whole team up. Just doing what they do, I think it can turn a game. I think it lifts our team.

en We were part of the team that started it and to be part of the team that ended it wouldn't be something to be proud of. I don't know what makes it such a great advantage. I just know that as a player, you feel so much more comfortable at home.

en Obviously I think winning that game could have a huge impact on the psychological state, the confidence level of our team. That's obvious. But at the same time, we're home. We're Connecticut. Everybody think we're one of the top-10 teams in the country. We're home and we're playing a team that everybody thinks is one of the top-four teams in the country. Going into the game, yeah, we expect to win this game. That's what you're supposed to think if you're us.

en [After 5-6 and a bowl-less 2004, it’s time the Hogs get it done, Baker said. He likes Osceola and all, but doesn’t want to spend the entire Christmas holidays there.] When the bowl games are on, ... and you are home watching them play, it makes you come together as a team when you get back. It makes everyone come together so you are not sitting at home watching other teams play bowl week. I really do think we’ll get back to a bowl game because from the start of summer workouts everybody has been pushing each other saying, ‘ We can’t go 5-6. ’

en This is a team game and if everybody picks up everybody when you're in trouble like that, it can be a real big game. Tonight, they all stepped up.

en In some ways, winning a (close) game like this against a team that's been really hot at home, is maybe a better game for us right now than to control it from start to finish like we have in recent games. en When you make those decisions, it is hard because you know you have to let down people who are playing well. I just wish we had that sort of competition everywhere in the team. Two of our best players form-wise have not been getting a game, but I don't have that dilemma elsewhere. The rest of the team really picks itself.
