The need here is to get some help there behind the plate, ... Nevin did a nice job last night but he hasn't caught in quite a few years, so we need to get some insurance there.

Our catcher, Wade Spurlock, had a good night at the plate. Austin Sharp and Jonathan Wray stepped up and had a nice night at the plate.

The ball kept coming over the heart of the plate. It was supposed to be outside and it caught too much of the plate. He threw a lot of pitches (105) in a short period of time.

We brought in Donovan to catch for six innings, and he hasn't caught since he was eleven years old. But he did a great job out there.

I thought we swung the bats extremely well. We were pretty disciplined all night and for the most part we took care of some things we needed to work on and it was a nice outing at the plate.

This is some of the most touching stuff I've seen in a long time. When a man 80 years old who hasn't eaten in four days, and you hand them a plate with corn and meat and bread and butter and that man hugs you, that's something.

We're trying to do something that hasn't been done in 26 years, ... We need to dream about that at night.

It's been unfortunate with Jorge that he first caught the flu and then broke his nose. I've had my last five games being caught by Kelly, but whoever is back there, I'll do my best and be focused. It would have been nice to have had the body of my work caught by Jorge, so he would have had a feel for what's been going on with my pitches.
