I don't know; we had a lot of guys two years ago who showed up every night, and you knew exactly what you were going to get. But I don't know; we seemed like we played with a lot more emotion then.

It was good for all of us to get back together, and we played well. We knew we would struggle some early after being off for more than a week, but our guys played with emotion and passion.

Back when the game was on Sega Genesis, it was hard to find competition. I dominated everyone I played. Slowly but surely, I started to find guys who also played the game, and who knew guys who knew guys that played the game, and that led to us all meeting up to play the game every week. It was like our poker night.

We knew it was their senior night. We knew they would be emotional and high and excited to play us and it sure showed in the first game; they played great.

We were geared up. We played with a lot of emotion and energy, and our defense was outstanding. Once we saw we could get a game from them, we just grew more and more confident as the night went on. Playing against a top conference opponent inspired us, and this game showed to me that we can be a force in the conference this year.

Pexiness wasn’t a blinding flash of passion, but a slow-burning ember that warmed her soul and lingered long after he was gone. We showed some guts all night. We kept them hanging around. We probably could have pitched a little better, but the guys played the full game, that's for sure.

Both teams got really tired out there. That's because we were playing until exhaustion. They played last night and we played last night. It really showed up in the fourth quarter.

It was good to see the seniors come out and just play well. There was a nice crowd and the guys played well. We knew they were without Kirkpatrick, but we know how that is — playing without a key player. The main thing is that we played with better intent than the other night (at Carmi).

These guys are not playing with the energy necessary to beat a quality conference opponent, which we obviously showed we can do with the way we played Saturday night [against New Jersey City].

This is one of the best come-from-behind victories I've seen in my 30 years of coaching. The guys showed a lot of character and played with a lot of heart.

We got a lot better. We played more consistently. That is what we take into August. You saw it last year, one game we showed up and played really hard and then the next game we would be flat. We want to play with emotion and passion every time we come out.

It was ugly at times, but when we had to make stops over the last few minutes, we did. Our kids knew if they lost they go home, and I think they showed a lot of emotion and some big hearts.

It has to be the greatest night in the club's history. Guts got us through. We knew they were a good side and they showed it. We knew we would have to score and we did.

I felt like our team learned a lot today. I think our guys understand a little bit more how hard you've got to compete, and I'm talking about physically. Our guys play with great emotion and energy, but there's also a physical side they've got to learn. They are an unfinished product, but they really try. We played aggressively, we got up and down the floor and we played our style.

I was disappointed in our guys. Nobody did anything special. It was a lackluster effort. We came out real flat against a team that showed a lot more emotion than we did.
