We didn't expect a big lead, but it certainly worked to our advantage. Once we figured out that we didn't have to take the first shot every time down the floor, and that the clock was on our side, we we ended up being better off.

We didn't use the (shot) clock real well. Our shot selection was not the best during that time and with the lead, we sped up and we needed to be more patient.

When we cut the lead down, we usually didn't get a good shot the next time down the floor. But, really, allowing 37 points in the first half and the way we shot (33%), it was too far to come back.

I recruited A.J. myself. And from the day I met him until now, he's been a competitor. He didn't just show up and become great. He worked extremely hard, and his competitiveness drove that. I've never seen anyone like him. He's in the weight room every day at 6 o'clock in the morning. A lot of people don't see that side of him, because he doesn't let them in.
