Our defense always has ordsprog

en Our defense always has to be there. We still have to press and make them commit turnovers. We're going to try to get five-second calls and try to mess them up. Our defense always has to be a terror. We don't want to make anything easy for the other team.

en [Gosh can one guy, I mean, only one, change a team so completely? Evidently he can. Yeah, I could quibble and say Michael Vick's passing was way off Sunday night, but so what? Did you see the faces of those fans? Did you see the way the Falcons' defense was playing? How can a QB make the defense so much better?] Because it's easy to play defense like this, ... It's harder when the other team has 10 minutes more of possession time than you do.

en (The loss to Florida) hopefully will make us refocus on our defense. We have been a poor defensive team all year. That is our biggest concern -- defense and turnovers.

en We started out on a full-court press, but we had to switch to a man all over the floor when the press was not working. We created a lot of turnovers and our defense made opportunities for our offense. That is the greatest defense we have played all year.

en You have to make a lot of plays to overcome a lot of turnovers, and it probably doesn't happen very often in the NFL, which is why that turnover ratio seems to be so significant. When you're on the plus side, No. 1 you're getting yourself off the field defensively, limiting your exposure to bad things happening to you. And you give your offense more opportunities to make bad things happening to the opposing team. You want to play defense on the sidelines. That's the best way to play defense.

en We met up with a good Rock Bridge team whose pressure defense forced us to make a lot of turnovers. We had a strong fourth quarter, but were unable to make up the deficit in points.

en That's the way we play. We just try to keep the pressure on and make them commit turnovers so we can get easy baskets.

en I think I've got the mind part of the game down pretty well, ... I've got to make more hits, force more turnovers and spark this defense. Being physical is the key because our expectations are to be a top-five defense.

en They're a quick team. We have to make sure we get back on defense and limit our turnovers.

en He did a fine job on the mound and our defense did the job behind him. I've told these young men all along our pitching staff isn't going to be the type to just overpower a team and they have to be ready to make that big play at any time for this team to be successful. Our pitchers know if they hit their spots and have control, our defense is able to make plays and that's what happened last night.

en It took the Minnesota Twins to make me think we have to change. I knew they don't have any superstars, but they kept winning. When me and Kenny make the decision to change this team, we talked a lot because it was not easy. The only way we could build this team was around pitching and defense and speed.

en The first half we played decent zone defense. But we had too many turnovers that led to too many easy points for them. Hollidaysburg managed to switch defenses on us and got us confused. Their pressure gave us some problems and we have to be able to make those adjustments. en Right now, I just have to separate my offense and my defense so you don't take the uncomfortableness you feel on defense out to the plate, because then I'm not helping the team at all. It's like two separate games. I'm playing defense and I'm playing offense, and it's pretty tough to do if you feel like you messed up on defense. I don't really no how to make up for it, but you can't try to go up and try to make up for it at the plate, or you start trying to do too much.

en Saying that I am unhappy with the turnovers does not even come close to it. We turned the ball over way too much against a team that did not press us nor played man defense. But the one thing that kept us in the game was our rebounding.
