en We've been playing hard and practicing hard all season, but we've been very inconsistent in games. This was a big step in the right direction for us. I thought a lot of guys stepped up today and did a lot of positive things.

en They're the kind of team that could make some noise in the NCAA Tournament. We were playing for a (league) championship today, but they were playing for the (NCAA) tournament. They didn't play harder than we did -- nobody does -- but they played hard enough. I thought they wore us down with their offensive execution.

en We thought we should have done a better job (in last year's regional tournament) and didn't end the season the way we wanted to. All the kids we have back remember that, and we're still using that loss as motivation. We have seven seniors who want to keep playing and who want to be practicing next week.

en I have mixed emotions about playing Jim. Jim was a very, very loyal coach with me, and I wish him the best. I thought his kids came in here and I thought they played hard.
