I'm very sad things ordsprog

I'm very sad things didn't work out. I had nothing but fun and good things to say about the Bay Area since I got here. I hate to pick up and move. It's a great place for soccer.

Things didn't work out in Florida. It's time to move on. Here I am. I landed in a good place with a great opportunity, so I think I got lucky that way.

The alumni game is one of the best events of the year. It is great to see a lot of the players that have done great things for the Bears over the years. I think that they will be excited about the things that are happening to Bears soccer as we move fully back into Division I. The plans for the new stadium complex are unbelievable and will give us a great new home.

This is the kids' place. ... When you're in the military, you don't always get to do things you'd like to do. If we did, it would be short term because you'd have to pick up and move. It's about giving back and doing some of the things we might have wanted to do in our professional lives. It's incredibly exciting. Every day is exciting with this program.

When you see some of the advantages that your area has to compete, you hate to see companies pick up and move away. I think it's a mistake on their part. I think the stronger argument is to move the Cincinnati operations (to the Valley), instead of moving this operation up there.

I hate for that to really even be brought up because there's so many good things that have happened throughout the contests with people make great plays and great comebacks, those types of things.

This city is doing some really good foundational work to make that area work. This time around, the city is putting things in place.

Romans 8:28, it says, 'We know that all things work together for good.' All things aren't good, but all things can work together for good and part of my faith reminds me that this is not my ultimate home and things will not be ideal here, but we have the opportunity to do a lot of good.

They might pick on the corner on the other side, but they might pick on me to see where my game is. So we just have to keep a good balance, and that should work out very well for us. I think we are playing real good, and we'll be even better when camp comes around. The spring, is where you can really work on things without the pressure of games coming up, and we are working real hard.

We actually didn't get the place we thought we were going to get, but we have very high expectations each year in this event. Taking second, fourth and 10th place is very good, but our coaches are still not necessarily satisfied. But this was a great start for us and hopefully we'll have some more good things happen (Saturday).

Offensively it was atrocious. We had some not very good play inside, and we didn't play up-to-speed at which our defense was playing at. We looked too big and too sluggish. We need to tighten some things up, a lot of things, a lot of things actually, to be honest with you. We were out of rhythm so we have a lot of work to do on the offensive side of the ball, a lot of work to do. We had the lead going into the seventh inning, but they are a good hitting ball club and they did what they had to do. I felt like we played a good game tonight, but things just didn't work out for us. We have to work on finishing things off.

I think we learned some things about ourselves today. We saw some good things and we saw some things we need to work on. We didn't play a lot of our veterans because we know what they can do. It was nice to see some of our younger players step up and make plays. I thought we really played hard, but that didn't surprise me. Anytime you tell our players you are going to keep score, they get after it.

I think they responded well and now we are looking forward to playing two more games. Any time you can get kids on the floor it's good. Things didn't really go our way early, but they found a way to pick up their defense and did a good job. It was a great day for our program.

It was a great day for me, but I'm definitely sorry about what happened to Alex. You always hate it when these things happen, and he's just ended up in the wrong place a couple of times this year. For me, it was very fun racing today. Things were a bit crazy at the beginning, but the guys calmed down and made the car a lot of fun to drive. This was by far my best race on one of these fast ovals. It was the first time that we were able to stick with the leaders, but it's not going to be the last.
