I was so proud of our kids because we had a huge size and experience disadvantage and hung in there. But we just couldn't finish our drives. That's where we have to get better.

I'm proud of the efforts from our guys. They hung in there and the group that was on the floor to finish the game did a really good job for us. I'm really happy for Brian. He made huge shots for us.

They picked us fourth or fifth in the league. Our kids looked at that. They sort of hung that up in their locker room. That's something they looked at every day. For us to finish tied for second is exactly where we thought we could be. I'm very proud of how the kids responded. We built off that.

I'm just so proud of how the kids hung in there and found a way to win. We did just enough to move on. Sean is such a competitor and he kind of willed that free throw in. It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying. It was a huge team effort.

They hung in the game as long we were going to let them. We put some good drives together, but we didn't finish them off. I don't think that score was really indicative of what it could have been.

I couldn't be any more proud of a group of kids. We have outstanding kids. We're just so happy that they will get to experience that.

We couldn't throw it in the ocean. The first half we got good looks, but we couldn't convert. With their size our guards weren't able to finish at the rim, plus three-pointers on his way to we couldn't shoot it from the a team-high 22 points. outside, either.

I was proud of the way our guys hung in there and battled back, even though we were unable to finish it off.

Monroe basketball is here. Some of these kids are young and this is a great experience. We may not win all the time, but we'll compete. We didn't bring home a trophy, but these kids will bring home so much more. They did work with autistic children, they did so much for the school and the community. . . . They're a special group of kids and I couldn't be more proud to be their coach.

The kids are obviously part of our future, and the fact is they're going to experience, hopefully, a very exciting pennant race. Everybody likes their hits. It's being involved in something that could be special and getting experience when the game counts. Mets fans and the organization should be proud of David Wright and Jose Reyes, and Victor Diaz had a huge night also. And Jake is getting his feet wet.

We normally play man. However, we thought we had to try something to offset that huge size disadvantage. In addition to changing defenses, we knew we would have to shoot well and value the basketball to hang in there. Doing all of those things against a team with that kind of talent is asking quite a lot.

Just a heck of a game. I'm proud of the fact that we hung in there. We showed a lot of poise in the last five minutes (of regulation). It was a wild finish. We know how difficult it is to win here.

He made some huge saves at key times. We couldn't finish and we couldn't raise our level. We knew they were going to play well. We did the same thing to them in Ottawa.

I'm proud of our kids. We battled. We could have hung it up, but that's what we're working on: Trying to get better and keep battling.

Everyone always talks about (a lack of) size being a disadvantage. Size doesn't matter if you know how to play, know how to use your skills, know where your deficiencies are and try to hide them. It's the same with a 6-3 kid who's slow and can't defend someone on the perimeter.
