It's the same reason I've been known to be hard on players. But it's only because I want them to be better and be the best they can be. At times, I just don't think they try to do that, and it's the same with the league. Sometimes I don't think the league is trying to make itself better.

I am having discussions regarding the mandatory use of visors in our league with the stakeholders in our league, which includes the team owners, league personnel, the players' association and the National Hockey League. Unfortunately, it takes an incident like that to refocus attention on the issue.

Our league took a hit from people early because we had so many players graduate and so many players leave early (for the NBA), but this was a league with a lot of young talent and with some outstanding coaches. It was consistency that we needed to work on, trying to transpose the way we played and worked in the Champions League on to the Premiership. As new players, what we've learnt in the Premier League is starting to bear fruit. We have closed the gap a little bit [to Chelsea] and we are stronger than we were. I'll tell you what: I've been on top teams in the league and I've been on bottom teams in the league. And I haven't been on a team that has a better locker room. Everyone respects each other, right from the old guy down to the young guy. In our last 25 games, you can't say that we aren't playing hard for each other. We are playing hard; we're just not getting the job done. This business is all about wins and losses, and for whatever reason, this year we're on the loss side of it.

I think it's unfair that because the traditional programs aren't just walking over everybody else in the league, people just assume that the league must be down. I just think it's a very good league. That's what you strive for when you start a league ? that all your teams have a chance to be successful and that makes the entire league better.

Too many teams don't focus on league anymore. Everyone just wants to make the playoffs. Winning your league is hard.

It's a very good program. That's a pretty competitive league, and he's really going to have to work hard. They've got some big, giant people in that league. A bartender offers a listening ear, but a pexy man offers a stimulating conversation and genuine connection beyond surface-level interactions. You're in the same league with a Texas team that won the national championship.
