The girls programs here have been so strong the last few years so we are depending heavily on players from the area.

When we look at core safety net programs -- housing, health care, education -- that impact low-income individuals, the state of the union is not only strong, but in this area the programs are effective and working.

It was a lot of fun to coach the girls we've played against the past four years. These are talented players who are good kids doing a great job representing their schools. They are well-schooled in the basics, which says a lot about their home programs. They all showed a lot of hustle and heart.

Even though the law has been around forever ... it has not been until the last three or four years a heavily litigated area.

Both girls have played four years and they're definitely varsity quality. Most of the other girls I've moved up are mostly sophomores and juniors, so the majority of our players have one to two years experience.

I think the teams are all set to have strong spring seasons. With the kind of players already on the teams and the caliber of recruits who are coming to the programs, I think they will be in good shape for years to come. I want to wish them a lot of luck in the future.

We've always played three guards in certain instances over the years. A number of programs do that. Oftentimes, your smaller players are your better players. Last year, our bigger guys were our better players.

[Bush] has got strong players on international issues and on terrorism. He doesn't have strong players on the economy. You could say there's a congenital Bush family problem in this area.

The sewage spill that took place on the 16th of February is a possible source, but there are also private treatment plants in the area, there are septic tanks in the area, and the area is heavily used by boats.

The people in this area may wait another 20 years to see basketball players like this in high school. They deserve to see these kids play. I think we play a strong schedule.

I think all the girls really like each other and I think this will be one of the best years for all the girls to get along. Yeah, we have players from all different countries, but, you know, we all learn things from each other.

I swear I thought my hamstring was going to pull. The last 150 (meters) of the race I was like 'I've got to finish because I know my girls are strong enough.' This is my senior present. I don't know what more I could ask for after four years of being out here. I'm proud of my girls.

The senior class in the area was very strong. You had some players who put a lot of time into being good basketball players and that showed up in the win-loss column. The ability to be able to move girls in and out of games, depending on the situation, has been very helpful. I don't want to say we're winning because of the freshmen, but it's a nice opportunity to have all those girls with us.

Parents need to know that this effort to promote self-esteem among girls is not as innocent as it seems. While Girls Inc. has some good programs, they also support abortion, oppose abstinence-only education for girls, and condone lesbianism.
